I think franchise includes material such as Video games and stuff, where the poses do appear a lot out side of those scenes .

Well that's true. I guess seeing the Saiyan Saga so many times in games could do that for someone.

Outside of the Saiyan saga in games, even in fan work the poses are overused to get across that two characters are destined rivals. I think Super also did this at one point.

The manga did, yeah. Not the anime though.
