Anime Abandon - Dragon Ball Z: The World's Strongest

Post by Hellspawn28 » Sat Aug 19, 2017 4:54 pm

Bennett the Sage from Channel Awesome has done a review on DBZ Movie 2. He is best known for reviewing (or more likely summarizing stuff like everyone on CA) anime before the year 2006. He is known for having unpopular opinion taste in anime (For hating on Akira, Perfect Blue, Grave of the Fireflies, Wicked City, Evangelion, Galaxy Express 999 and many others).

Kind of your typical surface level look at Dragon Ball that doesn't really try to analyze the material. Which is funny because he spends so much time in the beginning discussing how he doesn't want to just regurgitate the same things that are often said, but he takes the same approach that most people who only casually watched the series would say. Stating that everything after the Boo arc was a mistake is probably the biggest red flag.

I try to watch his review and I notice he went off topic a couple of times before. I like when he started to talk about Wrestling.

I don't see how just liking the original anime and wanting nothing to do with the revival material is a red flag for anything bad.
