Well, yeah, but the rest of chapter 4 still needs typesetting, and he has been the one manning the project.macho_man wrote:But, you know, it's Herms we need for translation. DesireCampbell is a typesetter.

Tullece's mom bears a striking resemblance to Paifu's mom from Cowa!, one of Toriyama's short works.

Thanks Herms, I'm really glad you translated this.
And about Paifu's mom... ok, the only difference seems to be brown hair instead black.

so it seem that toyble has forgotten to register the next winter Comiket so what next??? is he still continued the manga or not? after he didn't register the next winter comiket!!!
Re: Toyble DBAF [Sept 25, 2010] pg 175-191
Don't panic. This only means that this time Toyble has not to release a new DBAF volume within the Comiket date. However he's still working on his doujinshi.

Thanks, Titan! I've been waiting until I could read it all together.

Here's the one and only page remained untranslated. This is my own not-edited scan of page 2 (summary page) of DBAF 3. I ask kindly to Herms if is it possible to give us the translation of this summary, like done before with summary of DBAF 2. Anyway, thanks for your good work Herms. ^_^

I just read all I could find of this comic now. I'm not a fan of GT or Broli, but this series has made me tolerate the first (at least in this universe) and actually like the second. Since I'm so late to the game, I'm not really sure what I'm missing (if I'm missing anything). The series jumped from Broli flash-backs to Kame-Sennin dyeing, and then just seems to end. Am I missing some reading? Has the series ended? Will it be continued at a later date?

Kame-sennin dying is the potentially last chapter for the doujinshii, which was created far in advance. The "Final Chapter" has been used as a placeholder in early versions of volume releases when Toyble hasn't been able to get all the pages done that he planned to for his convention deadline. That said, currently Roshi has "died" at two different points in the story because of that, which I find amusing, but if the chapter is included at the end, he'll presumable "canonly" die then.batistabus wrote:I just read all I could find of this comic now. In short, the series is still being worked on, don't worry.

Oh, hey! I haven't been able to quite keep up with the manga. Just wondering if there's been a link posted with everything translated so far? (all of Toyble's AF...and aparently DBZero, which I haven't seen yet?) Thanks

So people actually like this fan manga? I just read a bit of it and I can't stand it.

Nope. What? You thought that people took the time to translate a fanmanga from a dude in Japan and have an on-going 90 page thread because they actually liked it? That's just crazyPerfect wrote:So people actually like this fan manga? I just read a bit of it and I can't stand it.
Seriously, though, come on dude. If you don't like it, that's fine. But there's no need to be calling out other people on their tastes, not cool. I like it just as much as Multiverse

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

I think it's both a blessing and a curse, really. With AF, we don't get much but what we get is solid. And the specials Toyble does, like DBZero, are great as well. With Multiverse, we get a lot...but when they need something to keep the schedule going... (Those "specials" just do not help the comic at all)
