I still think this is the best DB fan manga out there.

AF will continue to be my favorite fanwork to date. I do wish we had more updates. I'm hoping Toyble dishes out something by the new year.

While Toyble's AF remains my nº1 fan manga....Multiverse has now dropped to 3rd place lol. Man, I hate myself for not knowing about that one LOL. Thanks

Update from Toyble :)

No idea what it says. Can anyone give a better translation than Google?

Wooo!

Desirecampbell is a member here! How awesome!

It's cool man, I did notice that there have not been any new pages for months now. Very cool post-GT fan manga btw.

I think I may have said this before, but this fan manga makes me actually like Broli. When he's not infinitely stronger than everyone, and his prime motivation for being a psychopath focuses around the manipulation of his father rather than the fact that he cried as a baby, he's actually quite interesting.

Update: first half of volume 4 done. The second "bonus" half is next.

For now, here's the first half: http://db.tt/emRI8iXj

Big thanks to StarRot for the scans!

So, I've got the scans from StarRot (vol 4 pages 1-66) are there any more I've missed? What is this page from? Has it been translated?

-edit- Aw fuck, looks like my database has crashed. There may be delays.

I just finish reading it and I think it was worth the wait. Too bad we are likely going to wait longer for the next update.

Broly didn't seem to know who Paikuhan was even though Broly fought him and Goku in Hell at the end of Movie 11. My guess that Movie 11 is not canon at all in Toyble's AF?

Thanks for the scans and translations! Personally I'm not the biggest fan of DBAF but at least it's entertaining (even if some parts of the story infuriates me to no end).

Haha Pikkon the fighting therapist! :P

In a way I like this more than dbm because there's an actual progressing story on the other hand Xicor is in it..

desirecampbell Thanks as always dude! That page is probably just a recap of some kind. Are you gonna do that short Dragon Ball Zero comic? It's somewhere a few pages back.

Paikuhan wasn't mentioned in Movie 11 at all, so it seems that Goku went alone to Hell, it's not like Goku was always together with Paikuhan. And to me, it seems like all of the movies are canon to this AF, since we saw a Janemba cameo in Hell, and his movie (Movie 12) has cameos from almost all movies, suggesting that all the movies belong to one canon. So if Movie 12 is canon to AF, so is Movie 11 and every other movie.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Yes, these pages pick up right after the last pages I've typeset (194 is the last I've done). Originally I just numbered the pages sequentially because I didn't know there would be a volume separation. Now that Toyble's doing volumes I'm going to split the pages that way.

Yes. I hadn't seen it, but I'll take a look and grab it (unless you can link it to me here, that'd be helpful).
