I'm not even sure why this discussion is happening.

No, DBM isn't canon - obviously - but Salagir has made it clear that it does not use the anime as basis, so there are no showings in the manga that have the Kienzan being blocked. If you go just by the manga it's ambigious whether there is an upper limit on what the Kienzan can cut.

I think blocking the Mankankosappo is reasonable, though. It would be ridiculously overpowered if it could pierce anything and be launched as quickly as Cell used it here.

Sorry for off topic and confusion, i know DBM isn't canon, what i meant to say, is that i thought DBM ignores anime parts and is based on manga. Sorry again.

Salagir is clearly ignoring the manga and going with the anime when it comes to Vegito.

Regardless of ignoring or following the manga or the anime, DB Multiverse is a fan story, and I don't see any issue with it deciding that post-EOZ Ultimate Gohan can block a Makankosappo with his hand.

If DB Multiverse was "faithful" to the manga then it wouldn't exist to begin with.

Ambiguous means it can plausibly be interpreted either way, so either way a fan comic depicts it is fine. I lean strongly towards Kienzan just being a really strong move though, same as Makankosappo, which was explicitly shown to have a high powerlevel boost at the time. No one ever read a power reading for when Kuririn uses the Kienzan but I'm sure if it was edge on it would read higher because it's the same effect as concentration; a small point or a thin edge backed up by a lot of ki has a higher power, not infinite power.

I get it. It's cute and it's for the ten year anniversary, but I just so desperately want to get on with the main story, especially since it's already going to be a while until we get back to the tournament.
