Unless it's confirmed that Kakarotto is immortal in the DBM novel (I haven't read it), there's really nothing confirming it yet, since nothing has yet confirmed it in the comic.

DBM never actually said it, haha, that's just a theory I'm pushing.

As for Goten, if Salagir's thought this through, it could be character development from being humbled by more than 50% of the tournament.

I consider myself a fan of DBM but the dialogue is generally really bad (even for DB's standard which isn't exactly Shakespeare to begin with).
