Big Kids Citrus Punch?

Found this while bullshitting around the internet. Could that be copyright infringement in any way?

I didn't think I'd see another DBZ one....

I noticed the Dodoria one the other day. That punch ad is just straight-up plagiarism, though. It's like the art director was about to leave for the weekend and had to do a mock-up by 5.

That first one is so obvious. Talk about no imagination....

Second one is a bit of a stretch. I think this guy looks more like Mr. Satan:

As for the third one, uh, no comment....

With the second one, I have a feeling a few guys would call blasphemy for such an accusation or think Toriyama ripped off Frank Zappa. (He still has quite a few devoted fans).

That Gohan one is exactly the same face picture. Someone needs to be fired...and then sued.

Imagine if it's purely accidental and the artist as well as the company don't even know who Gohan is? lol

It isn't the first time people try copying Dragon Ball to improve their advertisements.

This is freakin' ridiculous. I don't think I've ever seen more blatant theft in an advertisement. I hope somebody gets their @$$ sued. If Toei has the time to worry about DBZ Abridged, they sure as hell better take the time to take action against somebody who actually deserves it.

That first image astounds me. Even the hair is the same!

Well, if that's not plagiarism, I dont know what is!

There's a russian candy bar or drink or something that uses Haruhi Suzumiya and some other anime characters, I understand that they get stolen a lot in Easten Europe.

Well walk into any little Asian shop and you will see toys of things you know...but they're not really things you know. A whole assortment of Power Ranger toys renamed "Power Police" or something like that.

I once saw a pack, and entire pack, of DBZ/GT characters, but they had like inverted colors and it was called "Magic Ball" or something like that. It is not hard to find things like this. Then again, they don't advertise them.

Oh wow, that's just plain ridiculous.

This kind of reminds me a cat character used to advertise a particular brand of toothbrush somewhere in Hong Kong. This character, however, was simply a clone of Sonic with Tails' hair (the ears and the small tuff of hair) and a single fluffy tail (also taken from Tails). It was... pretty surreal, to say the least, but it illustrates a pretty solid point--this is more common than we'd expect.

They do deserve to be taken down, though.

Although piracy cannot be justified, you have to admit that those cheap-ass fake products makes it possible for fans to make awesome custom figures.
Otherwise it would be too expensive for them to work with their hobby.
