The Videl figure comes out in February. Regrettably, her boobs are not big.

Wow! Look at these shit sculpts. I'd rather pay scalper prices for 17 and 18 figuarts than buy these.

Those eyes are way too big. I have yet to see a Figure-rise character model that actually looks good, at least they're extremely cheap.ShadowDude112 wrote:

How much do those Figure-rise Standard ones usually go for? I'd be interested if they were available in U.S. currency.

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
I thought I should post these upcoming S.H. Figuarts figures in here, since no one else has.
July 2017: S.H. Figuarts Nappa (Tamashii webstore exclusive)
July 2017: S.H. Figuarts "Scouter" Vegeta 2.0
I'm definitely looking forward to this new Vegeta. I missed out on the original Saiyan arc figure, so this is the perfect opportunity for me.

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
I have the original Vegeta Figuarts, so I'll probably pass. It still has the issue of the shoulder guards sitting way too high up on the armor.
One improvement though, is that the original incorrectly had the underside of the shoulder and hip pads as white, whereas in the anime, and this new version, they're correctly colored tan.
I also don't know why they went with miscolored anime Nappa with black and brown armor over the "correct" blue and tan armor, unless that's how he's colored in the manga (or the Full Color version).
I also like the way the Figurerise Super Saiyan 3 Goku looks compared to the Figuarts, which had nasty colors, and the SS4 Goku and Vegeta look pretty good (though Vegeta's eyebrows are at a weird angle).
Some early prototypes for these models have been very rough, plastic-y and ugly, but they'd turn out looking better in hand than that. I'm hoping this 17 and 18 are the same way, because I missed the Figuarts, and they're extremely overpriced on the aftermarket now.

While I think some look really off like Gohan (whose face looks like bad fanart), I think Cell looks better than the Figuarts, which has a very blank, awkward look in his eyes, and it also scales better, because that was too short for Cell.Footlong Shoe wrote:I have yet to see a Figure-rise character model that actually looks good, at least they're extremely cheap.

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
Does anyone know why the new Nappa figure is significantly more expensive than the vegeta? I would presume the Vegeta would have the higher demand. Maybe not going to produce as many Nappas?

As a T n A lover I can't believe I'm saying this but this figure just looks silly.... The large breasts and ass just seem really out of place and forced to the rest of the figure and it comes across more like amateur inflation art from DA.JulieYBM wrote:OhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygodOhmygod! ♥

Nappa is a limited release, plus it's freakin' big. The larger Figuarts are typically priced to scale.Atp23 wrote:Does anyone know why the new Nappa figure is significantly more expensive than the vegeta? Makes sense. Do they release production numbers? Or have they just said it'll be a limited release?Footlong Shoe wrote:Nappa is a limited release, plus it's freakin' big. Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
So, I'm thinking of getting the Figurerise Gohan now. I didn't realize it was the same size as the Figuarts, plus, I saw this image of them side by side, and it looks quite nice honestly:
They both have problems with their faces, and I like the body on the model better. I mostly want it for the anime colors, since the Figuarts SDCC one is extremely expensive now (I did buy one back when it was available on Amazon for $30, so I might sell it for a profit, then buy this one. ). I just wish all of the Figurerise models didn't have the eyebrows too short. They're supposed to extend past the eyes a bit, but all of the Figurerise models cut off at the edge of the eyes. It's probably a design choice with the way the eyebrows, eyes and pupils connect together.

Finally picked the sh figuarts battle damaged gohan. New head sculpts looks amazing. Ankle pivot is a letdown.
