Camera Pans!

Postby The Time Traveller » Mon Jun 07, 2010 12:42 pm

I haven't made a thread in a while so here goes! I've been slowly stitching together Camera pans! They're those moments where the camera just moves one character to another, or just to give you a rough idea of where a new scene is taking place, and I thought I'd clean up a few pans and post 'em here!

Image

The cleaning of this image went a little weird...

Image

A brilliant shot of Bulma from the first ever movie!

Image

A family moment.

ImageImage

The same shot in Z and Kai.

ImageImage

The same shot from the same episode (well the episode and the next episode preview), cleaned up...

ImageImageImage
These ones got resized by photobucket (before I realised how to stop that) so I'll redo them later.

I also experimented with filling in blanks for incomplete pans using Adobe Photoshop CS5, this worked out rather nicely.

Tanooki originally posting this, I just redid it and cleaned it up. :D

Incomplete pan of the Son shrine and house.

You can post your own too! And I'll be making more too, I've got plenty of screen caps that have yet to be stitched together.

edit: New rules!

1. Use Photoshop or a similar program, maybe freeware like Gimp or something, if you use MS Paint I'm gonna slap you.
2. Make sure your DVD screen captures are the right size, they should be 480 pixels tall and 640 pixels wide.
2.5 Oh yeah, make sure they're PNG and not JPG.
3. If you're cleaning the screen shots, make sure it doesn't affect detail such as tiny lines or different colour tones.
4. If you can see the bottom or top, or edge of a screencap on top of another you should erase it after lining it up, that way it won't look stupid, stupid.
5. If you're uploading to Photobucket or a similar site, make sure it isn't automatically resizing them.

I always thought of doing this myself, but I can never find time to get screen caps and mesh them together.

Good work, and I can't wait to see more.

But I dunno if this should be here or in the Fan-Works... ehh, I don't know... I just like what I see. :D

I think Tom Dubois of "The Boondocks" said it best for me when FUNimation announced the release of the domestic Dragonbox, after buying all of the Season Sets: "MOTHERFUCK!!! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT, PRICKS, SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIIIIIIIT!"

Super awesome thread! I actually made one a couple of weeks ago while watching my Dragon Box vol. 3 set, so the timing was spot on!

I tried to make a pan shot of the famous image of Goku after going SSJ for the first time, but his aura keeps glowing causing the lighting to change and the frames are too jittery, so it was damn near impossible to align.

Very nice job! I remember seeing people do this with One Piece before.

Awesome pans! And they are all Dragon Box quality too. :D I would post the Budokai 3 intro pans that I made but they are on my other computer at the moment.

I made this one a while ago to use in a signature somewhere else, it's not really a main character, but I think he looks awesome.

Wow. I will definitely be posting some stuff here. I've done this in the past just never posted anything. Didn't think people were interested. Cool... :D

I made this about a couple of weeks ago with an actual animated video for a video project that I am currently working on. In the Dragon Box and Orange Brick Footage Gohan is mostly cutoff, but I brought him into uncut widescreen action; and in the video Gohan blinks. Here are 3 frames of it but I will only show one of them and if you are interested you can click to see the other 2.

Example Frame Number One
Example Frame Number Two

These are really bad ass. I'm saving all of these to admire at a later time.

How come Bulma's hair is a greenish shade there, but usually a light blue?Must be the background influencing the colour, or else Bulma has been dying her hair!

I'm not seeing any difference, it might just be the green sky messing with you.

Yeah it most likely is the sky, but to me it just seems a tad ''greeny''.
