Nothing yet. they'll probably announce it later this year and release it in December or January.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

I've personally given up on timely releases. At best, we'll get an announcement at Anime Expo this year and it'll come out early next year.

(I seriously don't know why Viz takes so long to print stuff. Some countries announce their stuff much later than Viz and it STILL comes out earlier.)

It's not an ongoing manga so they probably want to get as much out of it as possible.

But Super is still on going and the first print volume is coming out in May while they announced it forever ago. And France for example announced it a couple months ago I believe and it's coming out in April. Not even their Manga stuff OPM has taken forever to be released on HV, 9 months since it first aired on Toonami.

What would they even get out of dragging out the release? The sooner it's out, the sooner people can buy it and the sooner they'll get their hands on our money. They've kept series that have long been over in stock and I don't see them losing any money over it. As long as it's available (and it's good, of course), people will buy it sooner or later. Dragging the release out this much only makes people slowly forget about it.

I guess they think they can get more sales by building up hype for each arc.

Maybe if it were Game of Thrones. Dragon Ball's been over for more than 20 years now, everyone knows the story. This collection is more for the diehard fans that want a premium edition of the manga.

Or for people like me, who've been holding off on getting it until we have a complete uncut release of the whole thing.
The point of Dragon Ball is to enjoy it. Never lose sight of that.

I also don't have the manga for that reason. I was waiting for the Kanzenban to get released here but this is petty much it but just in colored form. I didn't buy any of them yet cause I don't know for sure if they'll release all of it so I'm going to wait until the Buu arc is announced to start collecting them.

Hopefully we'll get DB's colored version as well.

I personally am waiting for OG Dragon Ball to be released before I start buying. Since I haven't read the manga before, I might aswell just wait until I can actually start reading it from the beginning before buying it. After all, the prices seem to drop as new ones release, so I can probably buy the Z volumes much cheaper once they get around to the OG Dragon Ball volumes. If they ever get around to it, that is.

Additionally, from what I've heard, the heaviest censorship appears to be in OG Dragon Ball's run anyway, so a lot of the draw of an uncut release comes from the first 194 chapters.
The point of Dragon Ball is to enjoy it. Never lose sight of that.

In volume 5 of Freeza, I noticed Piccolo calling Kaio.... Kaio instead of Lord of Worlds.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

Kaio and Lord of Worlds are used interchangeably in Viz's translation from what I've seen.

Viz have a panel coming up this Friday from Anime Boston.
Hope they announce more Full Color, and with a date of November or something, as Super Vol. 2 is out December.

Someone should ask them if they have plans to eventually do Boo, and -- most importantly -- the boyhood-era stuff.

I kind of hate how big it is, I wish it were Tankobon sized. It's not a huge deal, though.

I have the opposite opinion. I LOVE how big it is. It really suits the art.
The binding just sucks a bit though.

Y'know, this isn't the first time I've heard that complaint, but I've never had a problem with it. Same with the Vizbig's. I've come to think it's more that people don't properly support their bindings when reading than anything else.

I just noticed it on my first volume, as one page binding didn't have much glue. It slided a bit, if I was reading a nearby page the book would slide and open on the page of the bad binding. Not that it was a big problem as I was always extra careful handling the book.
