Goku vs. Freeza:



This is the Kai version of the same parts of the fight that were reanimated for the new version of RoF. It's very slightly trimmed in a few spots to keep the size as low as I could.

I don't. Goku vs Freeza in Namek is a classic, the heated battle, the blood, the environment, the tension... Can't deny of course that the new animation was great, but for me the old one will always hold a space in my heart.

The only area I find it truly inferior to the new version is Takeuchi's cut. It just doesn't flow well. I didn't realize that Freeza chops Goku's neck in the anime until I looked at it frame by frame, because it only lasts one frame and then he kicks Goku! It's also unfortunate that Goku's cool missed kick that he ends up landing with his other foot was entirely off screen. Kai cut out the shot of Goku moving in with his first kick, so it's missing in my GIF. I'd like to redo it with Z's footage, but it would be too large a file I feel, and I kind of just don't feel like it. :p

Can someone make a GIF of Goku looking down on Freeza after blowing him up from the reanimated scenes in FnF? I just love that they got the sad face right, unlike the original.
