Kanzenshuu's own data book guide

Post by Xeztin » Sun Jun 19, 2016 11:54 pm

We got tons of official guides, Daizenshuu, Chogashu etc.. I recall hearing the staff on one the podcasts discussing about how it would be cool if the next data book was called Kanzenshuu because of it's meaning. Some of the official data books may be vague about certain things, so what if the staff thrown together their own data book of the entire franchise? Something view-able on site like an extension or tab on the wiki when it's released?

I realize that it's a lot of work but if the entire community pitched in providing things that may have been forgotten, updating the data book with clearer, or updated information using the official books as a source it shouldn't take as long. When I say the community pitching in, I don't mean everyone putting just whatever they want in the data book. I meant that if something is retconed like Boo's origins, the entire site talking it out and decide's what's best on a vote or something. We could always add this was his origin in the manga, and this was what Toriyama said so many years later I suppose.

Now that I type this out it sounds like the wiki itself, but a view-able-page turning online book with an index and all that would make things easier to find if someone's just wanting to learn about Dragon Ball and doesn't know what to search for I suppose.

One thing I'm curious about on the subject of Kanzenshuu and guidebooks is why the translations of some of the Daizenshuu text isn't available anymore except via Kanzentai and the Wayback Machine. Those tidbits were useful.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

We (the kanzenshuu staff) are currently discussing your idea and we think its a very good proposal. Me and my fellow admin members think that it might be a little bit hard to put such a document together and to manage all of this. Do you have any ideas on how we could get this done?

...Anywho, it's a pretty good idea. If Derek Padula could do his books, Kanzenshuu could definitely do a guide book. Probably make money too.

That would fly in the face of Kanzenshuu's fear of crossing the legal line and getting shut down.

I created Kanzenshuu!

Kanzenshuu. is an American multinational website headquartered in Cupertino, California, that informs users about the Dragon Ball franchise.

Kanzenshuu was founded by Nicolas_3D, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne on April 1, 1996, to develop a comprehensive Dragonball database. It was incorporated as Kanzentai.com on January 3, 1998, and was renamed as kanzenshuu.com. on January 9, 2007, to reflect its shifted focus toward new Dragon Ball content.

No, why would it? It's fiction. The strength of the characters is not possible to reach in reality.
I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

Your avatar isn't a picture of yourself wearing fake Ssj hair.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Age. :P Especially considering I don't recall you being around in those early years. It was an amusing joke, but I don't think it's a good idea to continue impersonation.

Obviously a staff alt.

I don't know what the guy has done to make doubt him like this. Quit being rude. For all you know, it's Mike's super-secret alt.
