LGBT Dragon Ball Fanbase Experiences and Talk

Post by Cure Dragon 255 » Fri Feb 03, 2017 8:44 pm

I didnt want to put such a controversial topic here on Kanzenshuu, but seeing the Death Penalty topic went well.

I am gay, and am a Dragon Ball Fan. I know there are many Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Trans fans out there. I know lots of them but for their privacy I wont name them.

This forum is so over-dramatic that it's not even funny.

Can I ask, respectfully, what the purpose of this thread is? The thing I love about a community is what we have in common, not the things that can potentially splinter us. Here, we are all Dragon Ball fans, and every other label under the sun is secondary. I wouldn't have even said anything, but I see no discussion coming from this topic. You just stated your sexual orientation... I'm sure that's relevant in some way, maybe your outlooks on the franchise vary compared to someone who's not gay? Maybe we can start from there.

I know the labels do more to separate us and that's sad. I'm really sorry. I didnt intend for this thread to separate. I wanted to share my experiences but I didnt think anyone wanted to hear that. But if you want me to I will. Do you guys want me to share?

Is it related to Dragonball ?

Is the purpose of this thread to scout out any lbgt people on Kanzenshuu or something else ?

I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Yeah but it might be TMI...

Ok I will share here, if you dont mind TMI read on.
Back when I was little and was new to the internet, I looked for naughty pics-FUCK IT-Rule 34 stuff. It was my first exploration of my sexuality and I liked the Dragon Ball pics the most. One day, I explicitly looked for Naked Goku Stuff and my bro discovered it. He was aprehensive but he bought into my excuses. I never realized at that point that it was the very beggining of me discovering my true identity. Can you believe that I didnt know I was gay until YEARS LATER. And lots of fun with gay porn. It took a lot for me to accept it but It all began with Dragon Ball.
The topic of the LGBT community itself isn't really controversial here, it's what specific aspect you're discussing that could be controversial. And considering that we have a sexy fan art thread, I don't think talking about discovering dragonball through porn will be that controversial.

What juicy male fanservice is in a show about muscle bound men beating each other in an inch of their lives, constantly ripping their clothes off their sweaty, glitsenin-... So that's why the Majin Vegeta VS Goku fight is one of my favourite fights in the series.

Shouldn't this be in the Website and Community Discussion Sub-Form since it's about the Community?

We have plenty of threads in General Discussion about personal reactions/relationships to the series. I don't see why this would be any different. It focuses on a perspective that seems worth highlighting.

Gracias sucesor. Eres Genial.
Thank You sucesor. You're Awesome.

I think I dont want to just put the community. After all there are lots of Dragon Ball fans out there. And the Community might want to keep to themselves for privacy.

Also THANK YOU Cipher.

Guys I love your posting here. I knew from the very beginning this was a lost cause, but its my fault for making it so dull and void of meaning. The words are there but they have no meaning. They are hollow.

Cell was covered with the armor. Freeza was one step away from his penis flopping out

I think this topic might have seen (might still see) success if there were more of a prompt to the opening post -- asking LGBT members if they thought that brought a distinct perspective on the series, if they had any stories about it that related to their sexuality, had input on the few LGBT characters (or the lack of them), etc.

I feel like it has potential, but right now the opening post doesn't establish a conversation except to say there are LGBT fans. Which there are!
