What got my attention was the back cover of the DVDs: they listed the 4 episodes each one had, along with their original un-translated name.
Engrish, weird names...

[/spoiler]After some researches, I stumbled upon this old thread by Kanzenshuu user kei17. Apparently, Toei wrote scripts (and I think other things, like names and style-guides?) in a very poor engrish, which may be the reason why sometimes there are translation and dubbing errors, in the italian dub like in other countries. And is clearly the reason why the infamous Malaysian dub is what it is. Unfortunately, that old Toei website is down right now. I'll try to search for something with the Wayback Machine.
Anyways, I'm listing some of them here for comparision. They are mostly straight-up translations of the japanese titles, but with things like "Sire" (Saiyan), Sun Wukong and Sun Wufan (chinese for Son Goku and Son Gohan), King Leptune (Kaiō) and Gineu (Ginyu) in them. There's also Bloomers! Be happy, Blooma fan club.
Unfortunately, these DVDs changed style and lost these gems around episode 156, so that's all I have. Sorry, folks.

A friend of mine, anyways, told me that the old VHS release of Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT had these names too on the back covers, and fortunately, they cover the whole series!
