What if there was another threat taking place in Trunk's NEW Future?

After the Goku Black/Zamasu threat has ended, what would Trunks do, if suddenly, another threat was occurring in his new timeline? Does he go back to rely on Goku again or does he take it on his own?

It depends on how strong the threat is. If it's much weaker than Black then Trunks can handle it himself no problem. If it's stronger then he would obviously go back to Goku considering how weak he is compared to Goku and Vegeta (I mean without his asspulls).
