If DB is to be reanimated it shouldn't happen unless it was on a seasonal schedual, what they're doing with Super has been very hit and miss (lately mostly miss).
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Even if some people don't want to admit on this forum the Dragon Ball and DBZ anime do have dated art and animation, for them to be reanimated would be a dream come true.

It was mostly Otaku back then, complaining that DB isn't their cup of tea, because it doesn't look like Elfen Lied or Evangelion.
Generic anime with pointy chins, megahuge eyes
Image
and such.

I don't know, Dragon Ball's artstyle is one of the things that got me hooked on, simillar to other older titles like Saint Seiya or Gundam and the animation is later 80's/90's standard for such show.
But yeah, TOEI is kinda cheaper and Sunrise has a superb art and animation, so it's true, kind off. But for DB, where there was lot of stalling and occasional action, it worked :)

Dragonball's art style is so different than every other anime out there. You can instantly recognize Toriyama's art even in other franchises like Dragon Quest, etc.

Super's artsyle isn't that bad it's just the color palette and the people drawing it, among other factors, it's definitely a step down from Dragon Ball's traditional character designs. If DBZ were to be reanimated, I would prefer if they use the Yo! Son Goku and Friends character design/art style or something of similar quality.

Naruto was the new big anime when it first started airing on Cartoon Network. Dragon Ball was over at that time and people wanted something new. People like new things.

Naruto, unfortunately, is a series that turned into a complete mess with unlikable characters with questionable motivations, storylines that take far too long to progress, a protagonist that I found way too fucking annoying and could never get behind and some of the worst goddamn filler I have ever seen.

The series peaked for me at the Land of Waves escort mission. The Chunin Exams were kinda cool though. I only come back to it so see some cool fight scenes, at least the show can deliver on that. But even if your show has a really good schedule with talented animators, none of that means shit when your story and characters are weak.

I watched the first episode of Boruto and didn't even bother with the rest. The Boruto movie was really good though.

Am I the only person here who never watched Naruto? Back in 2005 when the Dragonball/Z/GT dubs ended on Cartoon Network, I didn't go seeking out some new action anime to watch.

Probably. You should just check out the first 25 episodes.

I've never watched a full episode of Naruto.

Nope, I ain't ever. Just never appealed to me unlike say Bleach (I still haven't seen such a drop in quality from a first arc).

Naruto is so boring to watch, even more boring than One Piece.

Yeah, Orochimaru was good villain tough... if he wasn't like the only villain for almost all of the series, being brought back and such.
I criticize One Piece for being an ultra drag, but at least, it had convoluted arcs, with start and finish and in the end, I really enjoyed them a lot. Stopped watching the series around the Fishmen Island.
But Naruto... with Orochimaru lingering behind the scenes all the time and the quest for Sasuke being neverending and weird and tedious filler... with side characters, that I liked more than the main ones.

Zabuza
Itachi
Kisami
Sasuri
Dedara
Hedan
Kakuzo
Pain
Madara
Kabuto
Toby
Kaguya
All the villains (old and new) brought back for the 4th ninja war

There was a lot more to Naruto's villains than just Orochimaru and unlike DB and One Piece, Naruto didn't take all of them down.

Naruto was planned to be the next cash cow anime, and considering it's still releasing new video games to this very day, it did what it was supposed to do. Make tons of money worldwide.

What heights has Naruto not reached that Dragon Ball has? At the end of the day they're both very popular anime. In America and Japan.

If you've never seen an episode, how do you know about it's anime filler and manga not being written well? The real question is why do you care? You sound like you have some personal stake in this.

Also, I find it odd everyone is talking about Naruto going down hill story wise. Dragon Ball itself has suffered from terrible writing, terrible filler, etc... too. The only reason DBZ's filler didn't seem as bad was because Cartoon Network/Toonami aired it 5 days a week.

Naruto is alright in my opinion. There are better ninja anime out there in my opinion like Ninja Scroll (The movie), Akakage, The Dagger of Kamui, Black Lion and Puppet Princess.

This forum is so over-dramatic that it's not even funny.
