I think Blum would have fitted Frieza like a glove by using his Orochimaru voice from the Naruto dub. Can't think of anyone else in that small LA talent pool that could have pulled off Frieza other than Blum back in those days. If LA got to dub DBZ in the 90's, then they could have benefitted from having a huge budget to hire someone like Mark Hamill to voice Frieza. But unfortunately that wouldn't have happened.
Yes by using his Oorochimaaru voice he could have done freeza with a snake type smooth sinister voice but Could Blum have done a Freeza even better than Ayres?
I'd imagine that he'd be equally as great as Ayres. That's how I'll probably feel about Tockar's Frieza.

What about Jiraiya Voice actor doing Piccolo?
I prefer Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, DB/Z/GT Movies, Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball GT in Japanese.
For DBZ Kai and two new Movies I like both Dub and Sub. I Prefer Shunsuke Kikuchi Soundtracks over All other Composers.

David Lodge? He could work well as Piccolo, but I think I would prefer him as Bojack or Cell.

Yes he could do heavy voices. what voice can Troy Baker do?

Well, Troy could easily voice Vegeta, Zarbon, Trunks or Cell in a LA dub.

If U.S Renditions release it back in the early-mid 90's, Blum's voice would be much different than what he used in Naruto. If you look at back at his older work as Guyver 3 back in 1992, his voice has come a long way (See 20:56 of the video)

I think his voice that he use for Guyver 3 would have been use for someone like Vegeta if DBZ was dubbed by U.S Renditions in 1993 or 1994.

I think he did the voice for some character in FUNi dub of Deadzone.

Yes it can work but a more sinister voice can work too.

Yeah, he did. I believe he played Sansho. Personally, I preferred Terry Klassen's take on that character. Klassen might not be a voice chameleon like Brian Drummond, David Kaye, the Dobson Brothers or Scott McNeil, but he fit that character to a tee.

For those 3 Movies, Ocean dub for the win.

While the voice discussion is interesting in its own right, it is a bit far removed from the original point of this thread.

I'm sorry for bumping this thread. But I wanted to ask which company in your opinion could have given Dragon Ball success. I'm not pro or con Funimation but I want to know.

This forum is so over-dramatic that it's not even funny.

A company able to make the decision to release Dragon Ball in an after-school slot every weekday on a consistent basis. Could have been anyone, turned out to be Funimation.
