On August 14, 1996, Dragon Ball GT Episode 21: What’s This?!! Goku Turned into a Metal Slab aired on Japanese TV. Only one day earlier, I was born.

Let's see... I was born on June 8th 1994, so...
Anime: Nothing. There was no episode in my birthday week.
Manga: Chapter 473 was released just a day before I was born (7/6/1994). And in that chapter, Goku arrived to stall Majin Boo and buy some time for Trunks while he finds the Dragon Ball radar.

Re: What was happening in Dragon Ball on your birth week?
The day before I was born, Goku was seen on TV assaulting the Red Ribbon Army. Trying to work out the metaphor on that one.

I was born Dec. 24th, wasn't that around the time Goku defeated Freeza in Japan on Namek?

Assuming you're talking about 1991... no! The anime took a hiatus over the holidays, and the last episode before the break began was on December 18th, where Goku first arrives on Earth via a Ginyu space pod. Meanwhile in the manga (which took a hiatus on the same date, Dec 18th), Androids 17 and 18 soundly defeat Vegeta, Trunks, Piccolo and Tien on the mountain road.precita wrote:I was born Dec. 24th, wasn't that around the time Goku defeated Freeza in Japan on Namek?
For curiosity's sake, Frieza cuts himself in half on the 28th of May 1991 in the manga, and on the 28th of August in the anime (that's a day before my first birthday!).

In the Manga Tenshinhan is holds back Cell and Goku finally meets Cell.
In the anime, Trunks finds the old time machine with a hatched egg in it.

Sadly, by the time I was born (June 10th, 1996) the manga was over. However, I was born two days before GT episode 15. Hooray..?
Re: What was happening in Dragon Ball on your birth week?
15 was the end of that terrable arc so I guess your birth led to GT getting good afterwards.RoarkVegeta wrote:Sadly, by the time I was born (June 10th, 1996) the manga was over. However, I was born two days before GT episode 15. Hooray..?
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Manga chapter 246 came out the day after I was born; it's the chapter where Vegeta arrives at Planet Freeza No. 79 and gets healed there.
The day after that, "Z" episode 23 aired. Fittingly, my favorite character (Tenshinhan) kicks ass in it. It is also the episode of
Yamcha's death.
Golden Week for both anime and manga.

To be more specific, it was the chapter where Goku loses to King Piccolo.

Vegeta must really be your animal spirit. Birth Sign: Born under "Vegeta"sintzu wrote:In the manga Vegeta told Goku how to defeat Kid Buu by using the genki dama in chapter 513.
Nothing in the anime cause there was a major gap between March 22nd's episode and April 26th's.

Re: What was happening in Dragon Ball on your birth week?
Let's see...if I'm gonna dig through dates for this, I may as well be extremely thorough. My birthday is August 15, 1989, so...
Manga (Weekly Jump Release) - Looks like the latest chapter out at the time was Ch. 237 (August 12, 1989), the one where Gohan is fighting Vegeta and Goku gives Kuririn the Genki Dama, and Yajirobe almost ruins it.
Manga (tankobon Release) - Volume 18 would have been released the month prior (July 10, 1989), so for anyone following via those back then, they would have been up to Ch. 216, where Kuririn avenges Yamcha's death against the Saibamen and Nappa begins his rampage.
Anime (TV Series) - I'm cheating a bit on this one because of what a near miss it is. The last episode to air before I was born was DBZ episode 15 (August 9, 1989), the one where Gohan builds a raft to try and escape from Piccolo's training. Just one day later after I was born though (August 16, 1989), episode 16 aired, which had Gohan meeting Pigero and the orphans. So either way, I get filler. Figures.
Anime (Movie) - The last movie to come out prior to my birth would be the first DBZ movie, 'Dead Zone'/'Return My Gohan!' (July 15, 1989). Very much doubt it had a home release by then either, so I guess home release wise the last movie would have been DB movie 3, 'Mystical Adventure' (July 9, 1988).
Video Game - Had to go to regular wiki for this, so hopefully it's reliable enough. We weren't too far into DB being a game franchise just yet then, so the last game available to play upon my birth was Dragon Ball: Daimao Fukkatsu (Great Demon King's Revival) for the Famicom/NES.

The two part Super special will be aired on my birthday, so that's pretty cool.
Re: What was happening in Dragon Ball on your birth week?
Goku is fighting Golden Frieza.

Re: What was happening in Dragon Ball on your birth week?
Nothing Dragonball related, as I was born in 1981.. I looked it up, and I was born shortly before the the first episode of that Anime started. So they were probably a few volumes into the manga by then. Couldn't find specifics beyond that.
"Of" =/= "Have"
Contractions:
-Should have = Should've
-Could have = Could've
-Would have = Would've
The heck does "should of" even mean anyway? Think about what those two words mean individually, and then try to read them back to back in a sentence and make sense of it. Are you forming a prepositional phrase, is "should" a part of a larger grouping, or are you just typing random words based on how you think you hear them used verbally? Perhaps take a moment to contemplate this, and see if it becomes as mind jarring for you to look at as it does for me..

I was born in 2001, so I'm pretty sure the Cell arc was airing on Toonami around that time.
