What do you think about the new Italian DVD release

Post by Dragon Sponge » Thu Oct 12, 2017 10:43 am

In the beginning of this year, a new DVD release of DB/DBZ was started and today it was finished with the release of the Last DVD Box. It consists out of 7 DVD Boxes or 2 Big Boxes (one for the DB Part and one for the DBZ Part) and every Box has a truckload of Episodes. Even though the product details for most Boxes only list Italian as the language, the Japanese version can be watched since its listed on the backside of the Boxes. For me the best part of this home release is, that it released the Series in the right order. It is finaly a Dragon Ball home release that starts with the DB Part, instead of releasing the Z part first and the previous episodes afterward like it was done with so many other home releases.

Box 1: February. 9. 2017 (https://www.amazon.it/Dragon-Ball-Serie ... 0S6P153T9Q)

Box 2: March. 23. 2017 (https://www.amazon.it/Dragon-Ball-Serie ... JTFRKV69H8)

Box 3: May. 25. 2017 (https://www.amazon.it/DragonBall-Z-1-10 ... FQSJ37NQFH)

Box 4: June. 22. 2017 (https://www.amazon.it/Dragon-Ball-Box-1 ... T76X84664N)

Box 5: July. 20. 2017 (https://www.amazon.it/Dragon-Ball-Vol-3 ... Q6CGYY5E9H)

Box 6: September. 14. 2017 (https://www.amazon.it/Dragon-Ball-Stagi ... MXKZTTEBSE)

Box 7: October. 12. 2017 (https://www.amazon.it/Dragon-Ball-Vol-5 ... QDFXRPP3P1)

I would say it is a exemplary release, you only have to collect 7 Boxes (practically one for each Dragon Ball) to own the Series, it released the Series in the right order, it has the Japanese version (which the German Boxes didn´t have) and the prices are fair (cheaper than the German Boxes, which had 16 Boxes). In comparison to the releases of some other countrys, its really a dream release. What do you guys think?

Edit:

I have to correct something, the 2 Big box that contains the z part is not out yet. It will be released on october 26.

First Big Box: (https://www.amazon.it/gp/aw/d/B01MUDP76 ... 2FBV3J8BJP )

Second Big Box: (https://www.amazon.it/gp/aw/d/B075XP3XV ... 7889751629)

I think even the Z portion is 4:3 and that's awesome. Would love this to release here in the West

Well look at that! Yeah I'm jealous. How's the quality of the picture itself?

Are there extras? What's the picture and sound quality like?

They have Booklets and also the Old unfinished Italian Dub (http://dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/Old_Italian_dub) is also featured in the first Box. The Audio is Dolby Digital and both the Japanese and the Italian Dub are listed as 1.0. As for Picture Quality, look at the Video i posted in the previous post at 10:29 where small pictures are shown. I would say it looks alright.

Small, still pictures don't say anything about the picture quality. I'd have to see uncompressed video ripped from the dvds. Thank you for your answer, though.
