Sadly that about sums it up, and up until you do, you get to worry about how to have enough money in case something does happen to you to leave to your loved ones. 'MURICA!

On a happier note though, I'm glad to see this campaign going so well for them so far. It's already up to $22, 728 (as of this post) of the projected $25,000 needed! It's great to see the Dragon Ball and anime in general community come together like this for one of their own.

This is great news, at least now we'll know if he doesn't make it (hopefully he does but with something this serious it's a possibility) we and his family can rest knowing it wasn't the lack of $$$ that did it.

Still, no one should have to go through this and hopefully the day will come where people like him won't need to beg people for help and health care will be a right.

Does Ayres have private health insurance? Or does his job provide health insurance? If the answer is yes to any of these questions then what is he struggling with? Paying the deductible or some of the co-pays?

I see. The deductibles can't continue, at some point he'll have reached his qouta and the insurance kicks in. So the non covered stuff will understandably kick him in the ass. Now the question is can secondary insurance cover what isn't covered?

Looks like it's hit it's goal and then some now, in around two days time! Hopefully we'll get some kind of update soon on if more is needed yet or if this sets things up for a bit.

They hit their goal in about two days. That's 25,000 USD raised, which is incredible. It's good to see the fandom come together to help out a terrific actor and (from all reports) a good, decent bloke.

In light of the unfortunate passing of Hiromi Tsuru in Japan, the fact that we can help out and (hopefully) save another member of the DB family is gratifying.

Apparently his oral surgery is a few days after Thanksgiving, then sometime later he'll have his double lung transplant and double bypass surgery at the same time...Definitely hope the man makes it through all of this.
