As with a few others in this thread, it's been ages since I last posted here, but I came to pay my respects. She played the role of Bulma perfectly and had so many other memorable roles in other anime (Asuna in Maison Ikkoku, Meryl in Trigun, Ukyo in Ranma, etc).

She was one of the longest lasting, most iconic members of Dragon Ball's voice cast, and this hits hard. I feel bad for her loved ones and friends, which includes the other Dragon Ball cast members. She was there with Nozawa from the very beginning.

As another old(ish?) timer who hasn't posted actively in a while, I have to echo my sadness with the rest of the community. All I can really say is that I'm immensely happy that with everything from BoG forward, Bulma seemed to take a more active role than she had in late Z and GT, and it really gave this new era of Dragon Ball a different, I don't know, personality? Tsuru was one of the heavyweights in this new era and once the Tournament is over, her absence will be felt more than probably any actor who has passed on or had to be replaced.

This is Hitting Really Hard, She was their since the Very Start, the 1st Lady of Dragon Ball and the Girl that Started it all! Without her their may have never been a Goku and Hiromi Tsuru played her Perfectly.

Hiromi Tsuru is part of the Legends now and this beginning moment just shows how MASSIVE her presence has been since the start!

I think this is a time for the fandom to mourn her and sending blessings to her family. I don't care if you like the sub or dub but we lost a legend today. This came out of nowhere and that's what hurts more. I was more worried about the older cast and Tsuru was still pretty young compared to other cast members, but damn. These seiyuus are the characters for me and while I'm not the biggest fan of her modern Blooma, she was still very much the character for me. RIP Tsuru Hiromi.

What a incredibly sad news. She was still only 57! I adored her performance as Bulma. She will be missed.

I'm beyond stunned to hear about this. The sense of assertiveness and leadership Tsuru brought to the character of Bulma always greatly inspired me. To say that she changed my life might be a stretch, but she's one of many strong female characters I've looked up to over the years. It's really cool to think that other girls might have been inspired to become scientists or entrepreneurs because of Bulma, I hope I'm just one of many. It's absolutely heartbreaking to think how this must be affecting Nozawa, along with the rest of the main cast and crew. Unbelievably sad. Still, what an incredible adventure and legacy. Rest in peace.
