The accuracy and quality of the non-Japanese, non-English Asian dubs

Post by Danfun64 » Sat Dec 16, 2017 4:14 pm

Through the history of this board there have been several threads talking about the various English dubs, the various non-English European/Western dubs, and the original Japanese. However, there is very little information of the accuracy and quality of the Asian language dubs: dubs in Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Vietnamese, Malay, Tagalog, Indonesian, etc. Can somebody who speaks these languages speak for how good they are, and how they compare to the original Japanese and the best European/Western dubs?

I've heard that the Korean (or one of the Korean, not too sure how many there are) dub is really good. As good as the Brazilian and Latin American dubs. However, since I don't speak Korean and haven't watched that dub, I can't really say how good or bad it truly is. I've also heard that the Cantonese dub was also good.
