God this is a sad day indeed for Latin American dubbing. He will be missed terribly.

This forum is so over-dramatic that it's not even funny.

No words to describe how devastated I am for this loss...
His narration was one of the great things of the Latin Spanish dub.
Too bad we'll never hear him announcing the title of the new movie or narrating in a new DB production.

I completely agree with you. It's very sad that we won't hear his voice anymore. Dragon Ball just isn't Dragon Ball without Jose Lavat. QEPD.

"Un gran resplandor se veía a lo lejos, donde la figura de un gran guerrero avía desaparecido, su nombre era Vegeta el príncipe de los sayajin, que era sumamente orgulloso."

Never thought I'd say this, but might as well rewatch the recap episode of the Champa saga.

WOW! Toei THEMSELVES mourned him! That's when you know you made it as a Voice Actor for Dragon Ball!

I just hope he got to dub the ToP, we are losing valuable voices in every language.
