The funny thing about this is that it's damn-near obvious at this point that Toei/Shueisha/Dragon Room want to revive GT in some way. They know that despite the performance of the original GT anime, the fans are in love with the unforgettable elements of the series and are still finding ways to push it in the modern franchise. That's why you have these 17/18 Truffle knock-offs. That's why everyone has SSJ4.

My guess is, at least part of this is all a gauge to see how a possible GT homage would do in today's DB climate.

Actually I don't think that's the case at all they've been doing GT stuff since well before Modern DB was getting new material. SS4 thing is only because they can like giving everyone SS3 depsite that being one of the least popular and commercialised SS forms. Meanwhile the modern forms SSG/SSGSS/UI have only been used on the avatar characters no doubt to not tread on any feet for main series, SSGSS is the most popular SS form and remains the mascot form of modern DB 4 years on. The concept of Vegetto Blue and Gogeta Blue had to happen in the main series before Heroes could touch them and the only different thing they can do is change clothes just like they did with Vegetto.

Heroes can't touch those forms. SS1,2&3 are no longer the strongest forms, latter of which has barely appeared in main series, and SS4 isn't used at all in the main series so naturally it would make sense for Heroes to utilise the fact they could use these forms.

I think the Transcendence Art line backs this up it was branded under SDBH and should have been Xeno Goku, Vegeta & Vegetto instead we just got the DBS characters:

I disagree.

There has been a recent push for GT stuff in merchandising as late and even if SS4 isn't restricted on any way or form, they're still treat it like a big deal, enough to reveal a new user of it only during the series anniversary. And as for the transcendence art, since the start it was stated Super characters were the protagonists, with the Time Patrol bein only supporting, so it makes sense the Super versions are the ones getting figures. Now, if there were a line focused on the upcoming Mechabikura art and the Super crew were the ones getting figures, then you'd be right in the money.

I actually had dropped this, but I heard about Universe 6 characters return in the latest episode and I decided to caught up.
Can't say it was worth it, but the new arc may be more fun than the last one if it will involve other Universes besides U7.

Probably still pretty low. I don't know if the game itself is even being dubbed. And where would they release it? It's not a TV show. Besides, Heroes as a franchise is full of characters that don't have English voices yet, and there's so damn much of it for some reason that if they were doing the game and this, people would expect them to do everything else. I neither expect that nor do I want them to waste the resources on it.

I mean, they can establish a streaming of the anime through the game & simply have FUNi dub it when the episodes are completed in Japan.

It's not physically impossible obviously, but that just compounds the other part of my point, which is that it's not worth the effort. There's stuff that needs their work way more than this. Yo! Son Goku is the obvious pick. But there's a lot of stuff that needs a redub after Kai, like the 2 specials and most of the movies (and classic DB itself, even if I don't hate that dub).

And this is all ignoring the fact that I don't think this anime deserves widespread attention or localization at all. At least Nagayama's manga has good artwork and kinda gives the characters some life. And hey, maybe the video game is a serviceable card game, I dunno, at least it has something.

Guys, I have a question.

Heroes might be non-Canon (let us not discuss the definition of Canon in DB), yet it is placed (in terms of timeline) after the events of the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Arc.

That specific Arc is placed after the Broly saga, however (with DBS returning and many speculating that it will initiate with GPP episodes) many seem to forget that this arc is a Manga-only arc. I doubt that they will change that as of now.

Basically, I am asking, what could we get for the Anime after the Battle with Broly? Will we get something further placed in the timeline? But the Prison Planet arc is immediately after the GGP Arc, so we can't bypass it to imprpve the story lore-wise.

Uh...no it's not. The Prison Planet arc was written (well, "written") with the Tournament of Power in mind. Galactic Patrol arc started way later.

It is only set after the Tournament of Power, as far as we know. But anyway, what Heroes does stays in Heroes so it won't be addressed in future Dragon Ball Super arcs.

I wouldn't think about the continuity to much. Super Dragon Ball Heroes tells you what you need to know about where it takes place and that's all that matters.

Hmm, perhaps. You all miht be correct. Further research is required from my part. Back to my main point though, what could we possibly get in the Anime considering that the GPP arc is a manga-only chapter?

Have you read the manga version, better power scaling and small subplots for other characters IMO.
