Backing Up - Hard Drive Size
Just curious if anyone has ever backed up all their DBZ discs before (full ISO rips) and what size drive did you need?
I'm thinking of going through all the original Single DVD releases and putting them on a drive to use in a media player (one that plays ISO files, not yet purchased), rather than having to load each disc when I watch them. I've thought about doing this for a long time, and think ISO is the fastest way to do it. I've tinkered with ripping the files and converting to MKV, but due to the structure of how the discs were originally authored, its quite a time consuming effort (different tracks for the opening/closing etc).

Re: Backing Up - Hard Drive Size
I have a 2tb hard drive.
Funi Dragon Box Z: 303 GB
Blue bricks: In between 140 and 160 GB need 2 plug up hard drive to check
Gt singles: like 40gb gotta check
Movies singles Funi: they r no bigger than a single layer DVD so u can estimate that same with GT I think.
After plugging in my hard drive these are the numbers.
Dragon Box Z: 303 GB
Blue bricks: 169 GB
GT singles: 78 GB
Movies singles: has to be atleast 40 GB or a lil more because I'm missing #9 and #10

Re: Backing Up - Hard Drive Size
As far as Dragon Boxes go, The Z boxes alone are ~300GB, the original series is ~200GB, and GT is about 87GB.
I have my entire collection backed up across two 3TB HDDs.
I guess it depends on what you're doing, and how far you want to go.

Thank you very much guys! I appreciate your information
Re: Backing Up - Hard Drive Size
Dragon Box-215GB
Dragon Box Z-409GB
Dragon Box GT-93GB
The Movies-47.5GB
All of this fits on my 2TB hard drive easily. If you want to do any blu rays though like Kai or DBZ or the movies, you'll of course want to go higher. Keeping an eye out for 4TB you can sometimes get some good deals.

Re: Backing Up - Hard Drive Size
Multiple consumer level drives will let you down.
I have a (fairly ancient now) Netgear ReadyNAS ultra 6 bay NAS configured in XRAID for 16TB, and over the years I've been slowly migrating my physical collection over, depending on the series I either use Infuse on Apple TV, or in the case of Dragonball I use PS3NETSRV on PS3 to mount the .iso.
