You read that right - Toriyama may end up in the Eisner Hall of Fame. If he makes the cut, he'd join the likes of Osamu Tezuka (Astro Boy amongst others), Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima (Lone Wolf and Cub), Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira), and Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma 1/2, InuYasha, a bunch of other notable titles as well).
It's a pretty tough list this year though. Naoki Urasawa (Monster, 20th Century Boys, a ton of other really big manga) is in the running too, as well as Kevin Eastman (TMNT) and Wendy and Richard Pini (ElfQuest) among a bunch of others I'm unfamiliar with but are no doubt big, notable names as well. Here's hoping Toriyama gets inducted though - personally, I'm rooting for him, Urasawa, and Eastman the most.

I hope Naoki Urasawa takes it. Monster is a masterpiece.

As much as I love Urasawa and Monster, I would vote for Toriyama in a heartbeat.sangofe wrote:I hope Naoki Urasawa takes it. Monster is a masterpiece.
