Funimation's "Faux-"Remastered Season 5 Discussion

I just got my Season 5 set in the mail yesterday so I figure some other people got it. So yeah...discuss.

I haven't watched it yet since I want to finish up one of the YYH 2 Disc Sets that I bought first but from what I skimmed there's a lot of the same. Some really beautiful looking scenes and some utterly craptastic ones.

Kyle Hebert is of course still re-doing the Narrator. One moronic thing I noticed is about the End of Episode Narrator talking is that they still have him say "Stay tuned for scenes from the next Episode of DragonBall Z" despite the fact that they do not have the Episode previews on these sets.

Now this may have been true for the previous sets and I just forget or never noticed (Since a lot of the time once the narrator comes on at the end I just skip to the credits and go to the next episode) but that's stupid. What's worse is it's not even like he's reading from the exact same script as previously used by Dale Kelly. They change up things from the original Dub on the Narrator. Such as that lame line right after Vegeta goes SSJ Grade 2 and punches Cell..."A power packed punch from a pumped up Saiyan" (Or however it went). So if you're gonna change up the Narrator script, get rid of the damn "Stay tuned for scenes from the next Episode of DragonBall Z".

Oh, and I don't have any Screen capture devices on my computer but the Box Art for Season 6 was an odd choice. A shot of SSJ Goku from the Freeza Saga.

player. Very small player.

I don't see them putting Goku on the cover again, he was on Season 2.

Yes I read his post, all he said about the art is that it is odd, not where he found it. And as far as I know (haven't actually looked) the set before doesn't show the set after.

Oh and what episode does the fifth start at? I am waiting on season 3 and 4 at the moment and have no Idea which episodes they go up to.

As long as Saiyaman, Mystic Gohan, or Videl is on the boxart for the Buu Saga boxset, I really don't care about the others.

Of course, they're gonna put Super Saiyan 3 Goku on it, but... A fanboy can dream, right?

I'm guessing season seven will have the Great Saiyaman or orange star high school Gohan. However, six hasn't exactly gone as it should.

Well, that would be the obvious choice but we all just saw the season 6 cover art so.... I' am guessing Bubbles will be on the season 7 cover.
