Couldn't get any DBZ disc sets but picked up One Piece, Toriko, Mazinger Z (both volumes), Gaiking Movies, and others for $2 or less this past day. The Gaiking disc was 50 cents! The Kijiji buyers were out in full force because in the last hour or two you could get full box sets of shows like Glee for $2! If nothing else, you could flip what you didn't want on eBay for a lot more than you bought it for. Also good to use as gifts to friends.
I was at HMV a couple of days ago and the prices were not that low. I think they're only selling anime 20 percent off regular price.

Thunder Bay store now closed. Was there this afternoon. Others will follow soon in other cities. But I expect you'll see similar prices on all merch in the stores as they near that final day before closure.

Well hey, fellow TBayer.

The Dragon Ball stuff was cleared out before I checked out their last day, but I got some good deals on other stuff, at least!

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

I recently picked up that Gohan figure as well. I like to treat myself to a Figuarts every once in a while.

Went ahead and picked up the Uncut Majin Buu Saga boxset off of Amazon:

It actually came new and sealed too! All in the box. I'm guessing the person just never opened em up and watched em. The box art looks pretty aight too.

May I inquire as to why you decided to buy these? Not that I object, I'm just curious.

To watch the dub mainly. I've been tryna do a full viewing of the Toonami broadcast dub (or at least something similar) and the VHS tapes and single DVDs were the things closest to it. I was only really aiming for the Ocean dub, but one thing lead to another and here I am. Plus, i never really grew up with it since I'm a 2000s baby, so I'm curious to see what all these older people are all hyped up about. That, and I might as well make use of the built in VCR in my TV.

You hardly run into anyone with a working VCR anymore. I only have one left, and I'm using it to convert all of my VHS tapes to DVD. Hope you enjoy them. By the way, the Funimation and Ocean dub are very similar to one another, so you aren't missing much.

I remember I had a VCR that was able to play VHS tapes on the left and DVDs on the right. I probably still have it around somewhere.

Those were all over the place just before VCR's were discontinued. My last VCR doubles as a DVD player.

Yeah, that's exactly the set up on my TV! It actually works really well since the person I got it from never used it and it was basically a brand new TV. I never have problems with the tapes or DVDs.

Hot damn. Let me know when you find a player that does VHS, Laserdisc, and UHD Blu-ray.

Oh wow. Does it record from VHS to Blu-ray? That's pretty cool.

I want to see a W-VHS AND D-VHS/MUSE Laserdisc/HD-DVD/4k Blu Ray (with no Cinavia) multi-region and multi-system hybrid (and maybe throw in other formats for good measure), but that's never going to happen...

I just purchased this guy. Is it an official work? It claims to be an art book. I kind of like the style, looks like a personal sketchbook
I just want to warn everyone about this. I finally got it 2 weeks ago, and it purports to be a Dragon Ball Super artbook... Its nothing more than a $30 dollar coloring book. Seriously, same texture paper that you'd find in a coloring book too. Luckily, I was able to get my money back. I was more than willing to ship it back, but the vendor told me to keep it.

Edit: If anyone here is in to that kind of thing, PM me and I'll send it to you.

I don't understand the logic of having a "Dragon Ball Super" book with a dead Goku and Vegeta in outfits that they've never worn in Super and with Gogeta's face (who wasn't in the series yet) in the background.
