I'm really more astonished at the fact that i haven't ever seriously thought about this before.

Um...yeah, I think I'll just go with the "stronger fighter determines gender" thing, 'cause that's the only angle that makes any sense.

The easiest solution is to say it's not possible but I imagine if it were to happen is to play off the scene/s for a laugh. Such as people reacting differently to what's between the character's legs to keep the viewer/reader guessing what's there. Plus I could imagine making the character looking mostly male and have breasts so that the character gets embarrassed.

As people have said if they were to go through the explanation route the easiest would be to say that they would be mostly female XXXY.

I just assumed it gets decided based on whichever characteristics determine which personality is dominant. So if Goten were female, Gotenks as seen would still be the result because of how Trunks was the dominant personality.
