A Multiplier for Guru's Unlock Potential for Krillin.

Post by dragonball0900 » Fri Mar 17, 2017 12:17 pm

Hi there.

There's something that I managed to come up long ago that has relation to Krillin's Unlock Potential that Guru gave him.

We know that at first, he was 13,000 against Guldo and Recoome. Later, however, we know that he was shown to be able to fight on par with Ginyu in Goku's body, who has a power level of 23,000. Much later, in the Frieza battle, we know he has an official number of 75,000.

We some times have the curiosity how he got to that number. Well there's a multiplier that interestingly manages to cover up Krillin's power from 13,000 to 75,000. That's the 1.8 multiplier. Let's see how it works:

1.8 times 13,000 gives Krillin 23,400. It makes his power increase to the point where he was fighting Ginyu. Let's continue.

1.8 times 23,400 gives roughly a 42,000 number. AND 1.8 times 42,000 makes a 75,000 number!

So in short, his power kept growing 1.8 times through Namek. Getting him a 75,000 level.

I decided to make his power in the Mecha Frieza arc a 1.8 times 75,000 too. A 135,000 number. That is because I think he was still training at the time.

Thoughts about that?

From an in-universe perspective... It's based on an individual's dormant power, and that's different for everyone, so it really shouldn't have anything resembling an applicable "multiplier." The 1.8 thing you've pointed out is at best a bit of a stretched coincidence.

But from a more meta out-of-universe angle... clever observation, and the 135,000 maximum for Kuririn you've arrived at seems pretty sensible.

While we're at it, Gohan was 980 against the Saiyans, and 2'800 at full power, which is 0.35 times less than the former. Divide 980 by 0.07, and Gohan gets his Guru power level - I guess that it's 14'000 - which gives us 200'000 when divided by 0.07 again. So, what was his Masenko against Nappa, if not an increase that is 5 times lower than his Guru power level? 200'000 divided by 5 is 40'000, or you could get the same by dividing 14'000 with 0.35 all the same, which could be below Recoome's.

Ah yes, well the multiplier was indeed just coincidence, that's why I had the curiousity of how it would work, and surprisingly it did. It even ties in with the 23,400 reading that I managed to put him for the Ginyu (in Goku's body) battle.

Now that I think of this, maybe Krillin can get to 140,000. He gets killed by Frieza when he has the 75,000 level. He trains for the 130 days (when Tien and Chiaotzu revived) and his power can increase a 1.25x and get to around 93,000. Later trains for another year and increases a 1.5x and can get to 140,000. He should get big gains considering that his potential was unlocked back on Namek. Later he trains for the Androids having the same multiplier he got from his one year training on the saiyan saga, a 8.5x. He would get to my chosen number I give for him: 1,200,000.

That unlock ritual was a big deal, a gift that kept on giving. Kuririn would never get from 13k to 75k just through surviving rough battles, he's no Saiyan.

But yeah, if Guru could get him from 1,8k to 75k, that definitely makes him stronger than Tien throughout the Namek and Cell arcs. It's only in the Buu arc that Tien might have caught up.

Yeah I agree. It was indeed something good that happened to Krillin. If it wasn't for that ritual, instead of being the strongest he would've stayed as the weakest earthling (probably only Chiaotzu being behind).

I agree that Krillin is much stronger than Tien in the Cell arc. In my lists I have Tien half of Krillin's strenght. In the Buu arc, Krillin might still be stronger, but the gap would be too small. It's in Super where I think that Tien was already much stronger than Krillin, since I don't think Krillin is still the strongest at this point, even though it is stated.
