Would it be better if the Tournament of Power would allow substitute Fighters

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Would it be better if the Tournament of Power would allow substitute Fighters

Would it be better if substitute Players, like in many Sports were a thing in the Tournament of Power? For example in Soccer/Uk Football there have to be atleast eleven Players in the Team, but there can be substitute Players that can replace Players on the field if they got hurt or for tactical reasons. And lets say the Tournament of Power had a similar feature where a Team still has to have atleast 10 Fighters but is alowed to have substitute Fighters that can enter the Ring after other members of their Team got trown out off bounds and replace them. With this feature other Fighters like Yamcha and Chiaotzu could participate in the Tournament. Also if Frieza takes Buu place on the active Team, the pink guy could still be part of it and be sleeping on the dugout while the other try to find ways to wake him up. They could also get some other Fighters from the afterlife like Paikuhan, Aqua and Olibu ( i know they are filler Characters but nothing really contradics their existens or the afterlife Tournament). The other Universes could also have substitute Fighters that would also add more fighters to the Tournament. Also would you like it if the Tournament had two 48 Minute Half-Times, with a break inbetween instead of just one Round with 48 Minutes.

Substitutes could work and time between matches would be a welcome change. I've always been perplexed by the fact that every match happened almost immediately after the previous one in the Tenka'ichi Budokai tourneys, because that means the tournament is over quicker. Tournaments such as the World Cup or the IIHF Hockey championship have a few matches every day and stretch out a long time in order to give the competitors rest and make more money. Why can't Dragon Ball's tournaments do this?
