Son Goku compared to Son Wukong (Journey to the West)

So I have been watching this summarised series of Journey to the West (by Overly Sarcastic Productions) and I really like Sun Wukongs character but I wonder how comparable their personalities are.

Does Goku have any similar traits to Wukong?

It depends. Goku is really impulsive when it comes to fighting, but he doesn't seem as impulsive as Wukong in certain situations. Goku might be Goku, but he can control himself when he feels it's necessary. Wukong is literally the representation of a human's mind so he may be a little more impatient or nervous. Most of times when Goku fucks something up is due to his naivety (thinking that nothing bad could ever happen).

Personality wise I don't think they are super similar, but the Nyoibo and Kinto'un are based on things Sun Wukong used.
