Not so bad if Universe 7 lost in Tournament of Destroyers?
Truly, would it have been such a bad thing if Universe 7 had lost and the Earth transferred to Universe 6? There are Saiyans, more Namekians (and they are stronger) and the biggest threat seems to be Frost....Who's not but a coward and weakling....
I really think it may have been a good thing, except for the new Future Trunks/Zamasu arc. But that could still have come into play, considering it was a cross-universe arc.
Thoughts?

I'm fairly sure, Trunks also has to type in coordinates along with his time he wants to dial back, since his time machine doesn't appear in West City when he travels back, it appears a bit away from Ginger town. Anyways, if he types in the coords, and no planet is there, his machine would be in space (without any fuel left). and since there'd be no way for him to travel to a different universe without Whis or the cube, There'd be no way for him to be able to contact Goku, Vegeta, or Bulma to ask for help or warn them.
Leaving him to die in space where earth used to be in Universe 7
Another thing is that with the ToP, Beerus and Champa would have had a major fight on which Universe team the Z warriors should belong to. Since without them, U7 would most definitely be erased along with Beerus.

Hit didnt need a cube or Vados to come to U7 to assassinate Goku. He didnt know Vados was there. HE woudlnt ask her for a assassination job either. Remember, he's hard to contact too.Rokkage wrote:and since there'd be no way for him to travel to a different universe without Whis or the cube, There'd be no way for him to be able to contact Goku, Vegeta, or Bulma to ask for help or warn them.
I dont think theres any need for God's help to cross Universes
Re: Not so bad if Universe 7 lost in Tournament of Destroyers?
The only way that's been stated to travel between the universes is through a God's help, or the cube. Vados/Whis wouldn't have put so much emphasis on it's importance if there were other ways to travel to different universes. And since she (Playing as a middle man) hired him to kill Goku, it's most probable that she just took him there herself. And while he may not have knew that Vados was there, watching, he most likely knew how to contact her when he needed to go home. If not, then it's just toei being toei and leaving more inconsistencies.DSB wrote:HE woudlnt ask her for a assassination job either. Besides the fact, Trunks wouldn't have been able to travel to the other universe anyways since his time machine was completely out of fuel, and he can't exactly survive in space, with no way to get back home.

You're looking at a situation where Future Trunks is unable to relay the threat of Goku Black and by extension Zamasu with his crusade as others have pointed out. Unless Beerus, Whis, or Kaioshin discover Trunks in the vacuum of space in time, the world is doomed up until a certain point. Goku and his group are killed just like in Black's timeline. The only hope for the multiverse is Zeno and Daishinkan eventually catching on to the destruction or the Pride Troopers coming across Black as he's wreaking havoc throughout Universe 11.
If the implausible happened with Trunks being found in time, you have a recurrence of the FT arc except with Champa, Fuwa and Vados in place of Beerus, Shin, and Whis. Vegeta and Goku might travel to Planet Sadala before the ToP starts. Champa would be looking golden at the onset of the tournament. His team would likely be comprised of Goku, Vegeta, Hit, Gohan, #17, Cabba, Caulifla, Kale, Frost, and Piccolo. Goku and Vegeta would have to take some time getting acquainted with Vados' style of fighting and training, assuming she even allows it which, for the sake of argument, we can say she is. The Saiyan pair might not be as powerful like in the official arc.
I'm not even sure who Beerus can rely on for his team since everyone except Freeza was from Earth originally. Imagine a hilarious scenario where the best he's able to muster up is some faceless Namekian warrior with a power level of 3000, a Yardratian, some Zoon-seijin like Pui-Pui, along with a couple other weird alien faces with Monaka rounding it off as team leader. Universe 7 would be the first universe gone.

Here's another way of looking at it though..... Let us just posit that Trunk's trip back in time would take him to the correct location, because it's still earth, in the same location, just different universe. It's already been established that different timelines exist in a similar way to different universes, so we CAN posit that the same events would happen that were always meant too, like Trunks arriving back in time.
It would be fun to watch Beerus and Champa argue over which universe Goku and the gang would fight for!
