If Goku never asked Shenron about SsjG then the balls would still be safe at Bulma's.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

The Dragon Balls were intended as gifts to the winner of the raffle at Bulma's birthday party. So presumably, whomever won said raffle would have still summoned Shenron/made a wish, and the DBs would have still been scattered.

IOW, Freeza's resurrection happens either way.

No, ironically from a story perspective we know what events do and don’t happen naturally in Super. For instance Trunks comes from 20 years in the future where his Zamasu isn’t corrupted until Black comes from Gokus timeline into his. We also know the ToP didn’t take place in Trunks timeline, but we do know Buu happened or at least part of it did. Further we know Beerus never comes looking for Goku or Trunks on Earth because I still exists.

Remember the only reason black exists in both versions is due to Zamasu having seen Goku on Godtube. Both the manga and the anime take different approaches so it’s clear Toriyama didn’t care too much about the origin story beyond Zamasu seeing Goku use SSB in the Tournament via God tube.

By that logic they should wish Goku never met Raditz since thats when things started getting way too big,not like they cannot find ways for things to bring bigger things like they did after Freeza.
Agreed, the reset scenario completely lacks imagination. If Toei still counts GT in some random timeline/video games/ merchandise why on earth would they suddenly make a successful series like Super that's actually co created by Toriyama not exist?

Sorry I’m late to this, but no. The entirety of the RoF, from Frieza resurrection, to his training, to his assault on Earth occurred in the 6 months Goku and Vegeta just happened to be off world at Beerus training. Did the 4 month training never strike you as odd? If the intention was to fit Freeza's training within the 6 month window then the time period makes sense out of universe. It would be easy to say had Goku and Vegeta not been at Beeruss they would have found out and wiped out the rest of Freeza's army before they were able to revive him. It’s a simple and easy fix that wouldn’t require any effort at all. Since they were on Earth at the time they were able to stop them before summoning Shenron. End of story.
