How would the story have gone if the Earth's Moon was in the shape of a donut?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Suppose in the very beginning of Dragon Ball, Goku’s Attack Ball had made a hole in the middle of the Moon before having arrived on Earth, would this little accident to Earth's Moon have changed things in particular?

Maybe no Oozaru (until Vegeta shows up with the ability to create a false moon), since there wouldn't be enough light reflected off of the "not entirely full" moon to induce the transformation?

So that means Grandpa Gohan would still be alive, and Goku would be much stronger (and probably already know some more Turtle School moves like the Kamehameha) at the start of the series since his training under his adoptive grandpa would've continued. Hard to say exactly how far the changes would go from there.
