The Solar System in Dragonball

Post by Locutus » Fri Apr 13, 2018 8:22 pm

A few friends showed me something from.the Daizenshuu describing the universe. It states each of the 4 galaxies are made up.of "innumerable nebula" each nebula made up of "innumerable stars" later calls the solar system a Galactic nebula on the outskirts of thr North Galaxy/Galaxies.

In thia context it seems a nebula refers to a galaxy, considering the 4 Galaxies are stated to be made up.of infinite galaxies in Daiz 7 and later confirmed in Super.

What do.you guys make of this?

This also coincidentally lines up with Broly and Bojacks Galactic destruction statements and feats despite being meant to set in the Cell saga.

Doesn't really make much sense, as solar systems, nebulae, and galaxies are all different things. IIRC the Jaco manga stated that the Milky Way galaxy had billions of stars, which would make it similar to real life. As for how many galaxies there are in a universe, it's not known, aside from 'a lot'.

IMO the simplest and best solution is to just treat the universes in DB as being similar to the universe IRL, except for parts that are explicitly shown to be different.
Cool stuff that I upload here because Youtube will copyright claim it: https://vimeo.com/user60967147

Well, Herma mentions that at the time of Daizenshuus writing Nebula used to be looser and incorporated galaxies in ita definition. That probably what the Daiz was going for at the time. Which fita with Supers portrayals atm just different labels.
