Is Broly the saiyan that Beerus wanted to fight?

I know Broly wasn’t a twinkle in Toriyma’s eye when he wrote BoG. But now that Broly is part of canon verse, do you think the oracle fish and his dream meant Broly? Since rumors claim he will be the strongest opponent Goku will ever face, so doesn’t mean he is at or above GoD level? Is Broly the original opponent that Beerus wanted to fight?

No. Beerus wanted to fight Super Saiyan God, not a Saiyan juggernaut.

The Oracle Fish expressly stated that the individual he was speaking of was the Super Saiyan God, and likewise that said individual would appear that very day (the day that the events of the Battle of Gods arc took place).

Likewise, when Goku was near completion of the transformation, Beerus had a flashback to his dream and then reacted in recognition to Goku's transformation, indicating that what Goku was transforming into was what he had dreamed of.

Oracle Fish told Beerus that he would fight someone strong in 39 years, a Super Saiyan God. Thus, Beerus set an alarm clock for exactly that. The ToP takes places 2 years later, in Age 780, so it's not 39 years.
