Goku has already (or at least seemingly) surpassed the destroyers with MUI and Vegeta's evolved Blue form puts him in the destroyers' league so it's only a matter of time before both are strong enough to completely move away from them and enter the realm of the angles.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

I guess but I think it won't happen for at least in the next 2 years.
