Query about Legendary Super Saiyan

I can't help but wonder if the Legendary Super Saiyan form building up its power so much it kills its user is only true in U6 or just the manga. Either could be true as Kale is the only one who seemed to have that weakness in the manga and her transformation in the manga different from her transformation in the anime. In the manga she started out small and slender and progressively got bigger and bigger over time until she looked like Broly. Anybody got any ideas?

So far, the "building up power till it kills the person" line is manga exclusive. Whether or not it will have an impact on Broly remains to be seen. As for anime Kale, she didn't seem to have that problem but she did have the sudden outburst of energy blasts that wrecked the stadium

Yeah Broly had that sudden outburst of energy issue too in the first movies. And from the trailers of the new movie I think it will be the same this time around.
