I just decided to go ahead and make custom colored wallpapers to the best of my abilities. Anything that may give this image more awesomeness than it already has!

I think it's kinda neat to see Gokuh and Arale drawn in Toriyama's current style. XD

I can look at it and listen to Yoko Kanno's song for the people of Japan.
Kentai wrote:Son Gokuu is a fascinating character anyway, because he is - at face value, anyway - an idiot savant. The victim of violent head trauma as an infant [...] he's a simple bumpkin with a fair share of brain damage who's natural talents to work out what's wrong compensate for his broad lack of common sense. But he's also a fighter, through and through [...] he fight until he has, in no uncertain terms, beaten his enemy on terms they can both acknowledge. He doesn't want to kill anyone, or even prove that he can win... he just wants to know he can. He's an ineffably charming bastard who's manly leanings were really incendental, and yes, the fact that he was voiced by a squeaky woman made the combination perhaps all the more charming.

That looks great! I'm not too fond of the gray but I wanted to make this image a wallpaper too. Did you edit that yourself?
On the Shonen Jump site, they made wallpapers with different colours for the art.
Oh, neat! Thanks!

First Wakamoto helps victims then Toriyama does this? Dragonball is awesome even in real life!

It's really nice to see the people involved with DragonBall really stepping up here. First Wakamoto helping at relief sites and now this from Toriyama himself. Very nice.

Seeing stuff like this always makes me love Dragon Ball all the more. I guess it wouldn't be nearly as good if it was written by a jerk, since it would lose a lot of its purity and likability.

Great to see Mr. Toriyama give hope to the Japanese people when they're facing this great tragedy. More power to him!

Interesting indeed. I wonder if Shueisha can convince him to do a full one-shot? :P

By the way, can anyone tell if that's a new shot of Gokû, or just stock?

You don't want to make things worse, Shueisha. :P

On a much more serious note, I send my condolences to anyone who has been displaced or lost loved ones in the earthquake and tsunami. I donated some money to aid the relief efforts not because I feel an obligation to "give back" to Japan, but because there are people whose lives are nothing short of hellish right now.

I knew I wasn't the only one who thought about that!
But for real, Shueisha and Toriyama are great for doing this, they may have let DBE happen but they're not COMPLETELY money grubbing.
