“Super Dragon Ball Z” sees its release in Japan on the PlayStation 2 today! Those of you who ordered it from Play-Asia probably had it shipped out to you on Tuesday (like I did), so look for it coming in this week! Much excitement.

Dragon Ball Z movie 13 (strangely re-titled “Wrath of the Dragon” by FUNimation) has been delayed from its original August release date, and now appears to be coming out 12 September 2006 (per its Amazon entry).

According to The Magic Box, “Famitsu” has given the PS2 port of “Super Dragon Ball Z” an overall 31/40 (8, 8, 7, 8). The game drops 29 June 2006 in Japan, and sometime in July in the US.

The official TV spot for “Battle Stadium D.O.N.” has (of course) found its way to YouTube. In addition to it simply looking awesome, you may hear and read something interesting.
That is right, folks… new theme song!
It appears to be performed by both Hironobu Kageyama (Dragon Ball Z) and Hiroshi Kitadani (One Piece). No soundtracks or CD singles seem to be up for order anywhere, but with the game coming out next month (20 July 2006), we are sure to see it sooner than later.

To further add to the confusion about FUNimation’s plans for the rest of the so-called “Ultimate Uncut Edition” and the news about a complete “season one” box set, FUNimation’s official DBZ website is listing volume 10 (“The Saiyan Prince”) with a date of 11 July 2006, and volume 11 (“Goku’s Best Shot”) with a date of 05 September 2006.
