With 44 days remaining until the film’s debut, the official blog to promote Dragon Ball Z: Revival of “F” has updated with a comment from Mayumi Tanaka, voice of Monkey D. Luffy (and also some bald guy):

映画公開まであと44日！
今日はクリリン役の田中真弓さんからのコメントを頂戴したわよ。今回の映画は、悟空が戦っているシーンがすごい勢いで、野沢さんはどんだけ台本をめくんなきゃいけないんだっていうすんごい早さでした(笑)。そこはやっぱりみどころですね。
少年たちに気持ちの良いバトルを楽しんでいただきたいのと、クリリン的には地球人で一番強いんだなってのがありますよ。
劇中でお前は何者だ？と聞かれて、「おれは地球人だ」と言い切るのはやっぱり気持ちいいですよね。
地球で一番強いのはクリリンなんだよ。サタンじゃないんだよって(笑)。
今作では、クリリンはもう家庭人になってるし、みんなを戦いに見送って、自分の出る幕じゃない的な、戦いにはいかない感じかなと思ってたんですけど、悟空と一緒に戦っているので、嬉しかったですね。
前から思ってたんですけど、クリリンという人物は本当に家庭人で、すごく女性を幸せにするんだなと。
もてないでしょうけれど、実はクリリンって1番女は幸せになれる感じのタイプだと改めてすごく思いましたし、そう言う風に作っていただいて嬉しいです。
バトルで戦うという目線から、戦う男として家庭を愛するとはどういうことなんだろうかという目線でも見れるので、お父さんお母さんとお話をして、じゃあその目線でもう一回見てみよう。と、そういう風に楽しんでもらえるといいと思います。

Just 44 days left until the movie’s premiere!
Today we’ve got a comment from the voice of Kuririn, Mayumi Tanaka!Tanaka: Goku’s fighting scenes in the film were at such a mad pace that Nozawa had to practically tear through the script (laughs). It was a real highlight.
I hope the kids enjoy the fun battles, so as far as Kuririn goes, there’s always how he’s the strongest Earthling. In the movie Kuririn gets asked who he is, and it felt good to shoot back with “I’m an Earthling”. Since on Earth Kuririn is strongest. Not Satan, you know (laughs).
With this film, Kuririn’s already become a family man, and I had kind of figured he wouldn’t really be going into battle; he’d just watch from the sidelines and not get a turn himself. So it was great that he actually fights alongside Goku.
I’ve felt for a while now that Kuririn’s a true family man, the sort who can make women happy. Although I suppose he’s no lady-killer, nowadays I think Kuririn’s really the type most able to complete a woman’s happiness; I’m glad that’s the way he is.
If you look at things not only from a fighting viewpoint, but also as what it means to be a fighting man who loves his family, try talking with your parents and then re-watching it from that perspective. I hope people can enjoy it like that too.
The story for Revival of “F”, opening nationwide in Japan 18 April 2015 in 2D and IMAX 3D, is being crafted by original manga author Akira Toriyama, who stated he is writing it, “…as though it were a continuation of the manga when it was in serialization,” and that while it will, “…of course be a continuation of the previous Battle of Gods,” he has also, “…deliberately increased the amount of action scenes by a good deal.” Tadayoshi Yamamuro, who worked for many years as character designer and animation supervisor on the Dragon Ball franchise, will serve as the film’s director and animation supervisor. Norihito Sumitomo will return from Battle of Gods and the Majin Boo arc of Dragon Ball Kai for musical composition duties. Momoiro Clover Z will contribute a song alongside Maximum the Hormone, whose “F” will be used as a “battle song” during the film. Revival of “F” is set to bring back Freeza and will also include two new characters (Sorbet and Tagoma), feature Beerus and Whis again from Battle of Gods, and much more.
