Official “Revival of ‘F'” Blog: 38 Days Left
Published by 11 March 2015, 5:02 AM EDT,

With 38 days remaining until the film’s debut, the official blog to promote Dragon Ball Z: Revival of “F” has updated with a few words from the voice artist for No.18, Miki Itō:

Hey, Bulma here!
Just 38 days left until the film’s premiere!
Today we’ve got a comment from the voice of No.18, Miki Itō!

I was quite frankly very happy when it was decided to make this new movie. Twenty years ago when I first got the role of No.18, it was nerve-wracking having to perform alongside all these veteran voice artists. When the series returned with Dragon Ball Kai, it was a pleasure to come back as one of the original TV series cast.

Continuing on with the film Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, I felt from the bottom of my heart that this is a series everyone loves. 18’s appearances were always a bit low-key and understated, but then, I guess that suits her just fine…(laughs)

The feelings and enthusiasm which Toriyama-sensei, us performers, and the staff all have towards Dragon Ball joining together to create this film. I think that Sensei and the performers are connected by invisible thread.

When you see the film, be sure not to miss the scene with Kuririn and me (as my usual demure self)! If everyone supports it, maybe next we can get a soap opera type spin-off like “This Love, Kuririn & No.18″ or something along those lines. I can’t wait for this film to be finished. I’ll see you all at the theater!

The story for Revival of “F”, opening nationwide in Japan 18 April 2015 in 2D and IMAX 3D, is being crafted by original manga author Akira Toriyama, who stated he is writing it, “…as though it were a continuation of the manga when it was in serialization,” and that while it will, “…of course be a continuation of the previous Battle of Gods,” he has also, “…deliberately increased the amount of action scenes by a good deal.” Tadayoshi Yamamuro, who worked for many years as character designer and animation supervisor on the Dragon Ball franchise, will serve as the film’s director and animation supervisor. Norihito Sumitomo will return from Battle of Gods and the Majin Boo arc of Dragon Ball Kai for musical composition duties. Momoiro Clover Z will contribute a song alongside Maximum the Hormone, whose “F” will be used as a “battle song” during the film. Revival of “F” is set to bring back Freeza and will also include two new characters (Sorbet and Tagoma), feature Beerus and Whis again from Battle of Gods, and much more.

We will continue to keep tabs on this blog and translate whatever news it reveals, so stay tuned…!
