In conjunction with their Super Dragon Ball Heroes announcement, the official Dragon Ball Heroes website has released a new extended-length trailer for the upcoming “Future Trunks Arc” of the Dragon Ball Super TV series.

The trailer officially debuted earlier in the day at the 2016 “International Tokyo Toy Show” as a part of the Dragon Ball Heroes stage show. In addition, as reported by Anime! Anime!, a pre-recorded video message from Masako Nozawa (Son Goku) was played to the audience, in which she said she is “thrilled” about the new story and to, “Please, look forward to it!” The article also reveals that the story’s main plot was developed in the autumn of 2015, with a final screenplay completed in February 2016, indicating that production has been ongoing for the past four months. The stage show closed with a final message from author Akira Toriyama (pulled from his larger Super Dragon Ball Heroes quote):

Dragon Ball Super airs Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. on Fuji TV in Japan. The “Future Trunks Arc” begins 12 June 2016 with episode 47, “SOS From the Future! A New Black Enemy Appears!!”
