Roughly every month, Toyotarō provides a drawing of a Dragon Ball (or related…!) character — as well as an accompanying comment — on the official Japanese Dragon Ball website. Following up on the wealth of characters already drawn, for his August 2026 entry, Toyotarō has drawn “Super Mr. Satan“:

Super Mr. Satan

This is from the time Satan was endowed with the power of the gods and transformed… in his own delusion.

This was part of the lie where he had supposedly saved the Earth, but to the general populace, maybe they don’t really care whether it’s the truth or a lie. Everyone likes Satan, the hero!

This design comes from episode 15 of the Dragon Ball Super television series where Mr. Satan tells a false, exaggerated story about the fight with Beerus — which, almost certainly intentionally, is drawn as a caped-hero battling a lizard, echoing the original design concepts for 2013’s Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods as scripted by Yūsuke Watanabe and designed by Tadayoshi Yamamuro, before Akira Toriyama became involved and effectively rewrote the entire film.
