Arc Synopsis
Several years after the battle with Cell, a now 16 year-old Gohan enrolls in high school. With a personality that won’t allow evil, Gohan transforms into the Great Saiyaman with a transformation switch built for him by Bulma and defended justice in Satan City. However, his identity was discovered by Mister Satan’s daughter Videl, and he was strong-armed into entering the Tenka’ichi Budōkai. With Goku deciding to come back to Earth for a single day to participate in the tournament, Gohan and the others strive to train for the tournament. And so at last, the day of the first Tenka’ichi Budōkai in a long time arrives!
The final round of the Tenka’ichi Budōkai Childrens’ Division pitted Goten against Trunks. At the end of the intense battle, Trunks was the winner! At last the adult division starts. In the main competition, the mysterious participants Shin, Kibito, Yamu, and Spopovitch appeared. After learning that Shin is actually a Kaiōshin, everyone closely watches the match between the Great Saiyaman (Gohan) and Kaiōshin’s attendant Kibito. Immediately after the match begins, Yamu and Spopovitch came after Gohan, who had transformed into a Super Saiyan, and they stole his energy!
