Episode Synopsis

The monster that appeared before Piccolo was Cell, who possessed the ki of both Goku and Freeza. Piccolo one-sidedly attacks Cell, but in return Cell unleashes Piccolo’s own special attack, the Makankōsappō. However, Piccolo deflects the technique. Not yet in his perfect form, Cell is nothing for Piccolo to be afraid of. But this time Cell prepares to fire Goku’s signature Kamehameha. Piccolo cannot hide his surprise at seeing this technique. Piccolo narrowly dodges the attack, but is caught by Cell, and has the life sucked out of his left arm.

Episode Notes

• While the original broadcast of this episode featured Kenji Yamamoto’s musical score, the background music in all subsequent re-airings have been replaced by Shunsuke Kikuchi’s original musical score from Dragon Ball Z due to allegations of musical infringement. The credits below reflect those from the original broadcast in which Kenji Yamamoto is credited as the series’ musical composer, although Shunsuke Kikuchi is credited as such in all subsequent re-airings and home video releases featuring his replacement score.
