Re: Akira Toriyama Passes Away.
This hit me really hard today. Dragon Ball Z has been such an inspirational show to me. The first thing I ever watch of Dragon Ball Z was movie three, Tree of Might... I was scrolling through tv channels and I just happened to come across a channel at the time, and they were playing Tree of Might, a...

Re: Funimation's 30th Anniversary Collection still available in the UK
Would you know if the extras are different than the 2013 Blu-ray release? I recall that the features on my 2019 anniversary set were identical to the ones that Funimation put out on their widescreen Blu-ray release 5-6 years earlier. And I'm not sure, but there could be some nonsense from back then...

i recently discovered these myself via Amazon, and i must say, the extras that are included in the standard releases are wonderful.
the last time I had the complete series was in 2009 and those were the orange bricks. it is my goal to have this version completed

Re: your definition of the "definitive" DBZ home release
i think i would do two different versions at the same time if I could... a blu-ray release and a standard dvd release, with both the broadcast audio and the Dragon Box audio, both Funimation audios, and maybe even give the optionfor both the 4:3 ratio and the 16:9 ratio version, giving people the ab...

your definition of the "definitive" DBZ home release
first off, if this has already been talked about, i apologize, and mods feel free to either merge the thread or delete it, however, if it hasnt been discussed... as a DBZ fan myself, I think I can say that, with the exception of a few, the majority of DBZ fans are upset, disappointed, and downright ...

Re: Do you feel you've hit a burnout of collecting DB stuff?
as a kid, i didnt care what i got... as an adult, it's not necessarily "burnout", it's just i need a whole lot less to feel complete. personally speaking, right now, i have one of two things that makes me feel complete in my "collection"... it is picky, but even though it is pick...

Re: Dragon Ball Z "Seasons" On Blu-ray: News & Discussion
No. Funimation did release Rock the Dragon set though if you're interested. though the movies are edited I believe. I have the singles and the movies uncut so I didn't feel the need to upgrade. i actually had that collection at one point... gave it as a Christmas present to a couple of kids though ...

I'm glad I'm a member here... thank you everyone for keeping me up-to-date with this "new" release... now i know what not to buy :) you know, with how FUNImation is treating this and fans alike, I'm surprised people aren't going the illegal route and torrenting these things... but i wouldn...

Re: What do you want from a DBZ Movie 15?
put someone other than Goku and Gohan in the spotlight for a change... i say let Vegeta be the main character of the story this time, and even the hero. He's the prince of all Sayians, so make a story around why he's the prince of all Saiyans... dont get me wrong, Goke is an awesome character, but I...

DVD or Blu Ray, I really dont care at this point...
i just want to be able to own the show I love in its entirety, unedited, uncropped, and readily available for my viewing pleasure at a decent price.
and i think i can speak for every DBZ fan on here for that

Re: Dragon Ball Z "Season One" Coming To Blu-Ray
they better make this on the same quality that the Dragon boxes were made, if not better... when they released that survey, i gave them a small piece of my mind on how they made a big mistake by discontinuing the Dragon Boxes, and screwing the fans over with the orange bricks. frustration will be an...
