Re: "Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters" Parts DVD/Blu-ray Thread
Awesome morning walking out of Best Buy with this set! Just in case anyone's wondering the video commentary includes Kyle Hebert ,Kara Edwards, J. Michael Tatum & Andrew Chandler. It's interesting that Kara mentioned that's the first time she met Andrew, Videl & Spopovitch meet at last! Prev...

Re: "Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters" FUNimation English Dub Official Announcement and Discussion Thread
I've always had a fondness for the Buu saga, some of my first viewings of DBZ were on Toonami's Saturday afternoon block. Thanks to those blocks I saw the early Buu stuff and soon caught the weekday airings, at the time they stopped at Ep.237 Final Atonement and then Toonami replayed the Saiyan &...

Re: International Channel, anyone still remembers?
Might you have any Dragon Ball Z recordings from International Channel on VHS Tapes or Digital Copy? :) I've been always looking for them but even 12 years ago it was hard to find them on the internet :P I never knew DBZ played on the International Channel so I never recorded it. I only caught DBGT...

Yup! The Dr. Slump manga is available in English from Viz Media and Discotek has the first 5 movies on DVD.MCDaveG wrote:I have a question for Toriyama enthusiasts here. Is Dr. Slump completely released in english?

Re: People you realized never came back.
Does Android 16 count? I always wondered what happened to him, being one of Cell's victims he should of been revived. I've heard people say a few things like he's a complete artificial being or he has no soul so Shenron can't revive him. Then I think of Path to Power and Android 8 being restored. Ma...

Re: What was the first piece of content you saw of GT?
For me it was from those Dragon Ball Z Beckett magazines and Pojo guides. Then random images I'd look up on school computers. Probably amongst the images were SS4 Goku and Goku as a kid and Pan. First content from the anime was Episode 7 where Trunks dressed up like a woman in Japanese.

Re: Jaco before slump? How do you display your manga?
My mind says chronological just because it's in order makes sense plus they line up as they were published which is cool. My eye on the other hand would be by longest running like Dragon Ball, Dr. Slump, Toriyama's one shots. Looks nice on the shelf to my eye, kinda like having a bunch of red books ...

Re: International Channel, anyone still remembers?
Wow the International Channel! I'd always look forward to watching DBGT on Sunday's. Got to see these episodes before Funimation released them on home video too. Part of the fun was watching GT in raw Japanese I'd only seen the dub at that point so it was kind of a trip lol I remember recording the ...

Re: One Punch Man and Dragon Ball crossover
Wow thanks for sharing this! I just started reading One Punch Man myself and so far it's awesome. I thought the interaction with Vegeta and Saitama was pretty spot on and fun. There definitely needs to be more of these! A rematch with Vegeta or a match with Goku would be fun, let's give One Punch Ma...

Re: Thoughts on the final 5-ep filler arc of Dragonball?
I thought it was overall fun to watch. Especially after the whole fight with King Piccolo and the 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai stuff. Most of that arc was pretty heavy so once Goku defeated Piccolo it was a nice change of pace. Plus this was the first time Goku and Chi-Chi had more time to interact and p...

Re: Dragonball GT season sets question
The season sets have all the ending themes intact. The songs are all dubbed in English exclusively to these sets. The Japanese versions are all there as well. The only thing missing is the Step into the Grand Tour intro/outro that the single dvd's used. Nothing wrong with watching GT

Re: What is the obsession with Jaco here?
I really enjoyed Jaco and Resurrection F was my first taste of the character. I knew about him and knew what he was all about but his scenes in the movie really won me over. So much I finally got the manga afterwards. He's a fresh character that fits well in the world that is Dragon Ball. He's got a...

Re: Dragon Ball Actors You Met and Interactions
Super Sonic your list is pretty sweet! It's always cool to meet the actors who worked on Dragon Ball their all pretty cool people. My list is somewhat small compared to that but here we go! Ocean Dub: Kirby Morrow-Goku(3rd voice) Funimation: Kyle Hebert (Gohan,Narrator,Ox-King) Photo & autograph...

Re: Who was the ADR Director for Dragon Ball and GT?
Christopher Bevins was the director for DBGT, Barry Watson's name is also included as the director for when they started in the Baby Saga, Eps-17-21 or so. For Dragon Ball the credits list Christopher Sabat and Justin Cook for a good chunk of the beginning, around the Red Ribbon Army stuff it credit...

Re: When exactly did Chris Sabat become the ADR Director for
I think I know the other video you mentioned, I might have seen it on the old DBGT website long ago maybe? Barry Watson was Funimation's producer up until 2005 so he probably did some kind of supervision before leaving. Probably the only other DBZ thing he dubbed after Sabat took over was movie 6 Re...

Re: When exactly did Chris Sabat become the ADR Director for
I'm always interested on which director directed which episodes of the series. I checked the Ginyu Assault credits on the old dvd singles and it lists Barry Watson as the director and Christopher Sabat as the assistant director. I believe it says that until the end of the Frieza saga. On the Trunks ...

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2013 Movie Thread: "Battle of Gods
I really dug the Extended cut. I've only seen the movie once in theaters but I could tell which scenes were not there before and enjoyed them all. For me those cut scenes made the movie transition a bit better from scene to scene, I'll probably be watching that one for future viewings. The series re...

Re: Dragon Ball Dream Cast (4Kids)
This cast would be pretty cool. The voice actors from the New York pool are some talented people. I think since most of them work for 4kids people just assume they stink. But a lot of these guys have incredible range. Marc Thompson as Frieza is something I must hear now. Michael Sinterniklaas as Tru...

Re: Favorite Movie
For me it's a tie between Path to Power & Bojack Unbound. The Path to Power has some really beautiful animation and it's a nice little retelling of how Goku and pals come together. It's also a nice way to celebrate the 10th anniversary. Bojack Unbound was one I really anticipated, I couldn't wai...

Re: Chiaotzu Appreciation Thread
Chiaotzu is one of those characters that gets brushed off too early in the series. He's one of the few Z fighters to have telekinetic/psychic powers that's pretty cool it kind of gave some diversity in their abilities. I enjoyed his interaction with Krillin they had an almost rival relationship at f...
