Re: Thinking of giving up Dragon Ball

Thanks for the input guys. Maybe I just need a break, maybe I'm just going to drift away for good time will tell. But either way time away is something thats just enevitable at this point. The series just... it feels hollow now. Not that stuff isn't intreasting anymore its just I don't feel mind get...

Thinking of giving up Dragon Ball

Yeah this has been on my mind a while now. As much as I love the series and enjoyed Super. I think my spark for the series is fading. While the new stuff has been fun, more and more I can’t help but feel what’s the point? As I see it Dragon Ball as a series really started to show problems in the Fri...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I mean, it looked like it hardened from being cooled down after Vegeta shot it with...cold...energy...or something. On a side note, why are elemental abilities not a bigger thing in this franchise? It seems like a no-brainer for fantasy battle series. This is why I felt it was Magma also. On the su...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Not quite the high tier magic I had in mind but still cool. Moro comes of more and more as a Shaman style magic user. While using the life energy of a planet is not new, Moro displays a far greater level of control. He able to actually use that energy for direct attacks without wasting his own power...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

I'll believe it when I sees it, not befor.

IF this is true however, well Goku got away with starting the ToP because the universe were going to get erased anyway. I don't think anyone's going to forgive this level of stupidity writing wise. Goku at his worst is not this thirsty for fighting.

Re: How Useful Is Superhuman Durability In DB?

Power up a bit and blow all the gas away with your aura. A perfectly legitimate counter move provided you don’t get a face full of the stuff first. The effects of tear gas can last from 30 minutes to several hours depending on how much you were exposed to. But here’s the thing, that should really o...

Re: Zamasu's level of power

In the anime : Present Zamasu is as strong as Goku SSJ. Future Zamasu seems to be as strong as Goku SSJB (which makes no sense), but it's there. In the manga : Present Zamasu owns Kibito and Shin says that he will be the most talented Kaio Shin. Future Zamasu is less stronger than Future Trunks. an...

Re: How Useful Is Superhuman Durability In DB?

Exactly this. It's why I'm of the opinion that Hit is one of the most dangerous characters in the series. His pressure points based fighting style are specifically targeted towards some of the most vulnerable areas of the body. If he hits someone in like, say, the carotid artery that could cause th...

Re: How Useful Is Superhuman Durability In DB?

Even with Ki, Goku experienced great pain while taking Hit's vital-point attacks and even had his heart stop for a minute. That's probably why he lost Death Battle round 2 against Superman, his skin & muscle tissue are super durable but his organs are apparently not. I will say that even with ehanc...

Re: Zamasu is my least favourite DB villain. Here is an explanation why.

Perhaps because Zamasu's existence as villain (and especially as Goku Black) was asspull and his motivation made no sense. He was just narcissistic apprentice who didn't trust anyone but himself and was killing innocent people. Well yeah, most villains do. But others, even Baby, never tried to tell...

Re: Zamasu is my least favourite DB villain. Here is an explanation why.

I love that, with Zamasu, a sense of seriousness that the series has never had before save for maybe the original Future Trunks special has been introduced. And in DBS, no less, one of the kid-friendliest iterations of the series to date! We also got an interesting exploration of creative new means...

Re: What is the dumbest DB fan theory you have ever heard?

The idea that Tarble is no longer canon. I don't get why people believe this either. Yeah and there is a whole thread debating that that has gone off topic. The reason was due to changes to the Beerus arc in Super. Mainly the one line referring to him was removed. This along with the uncertainty of...

Re: Zamasu is my least favourite DB villain. Here is an explanation why.

I personally like the idea that things can be undone with the dragon balls. I don't need reminders that there can't be a happy ending for everyone. I really was dissatisfied with the ending of the Zamasu arc. I understand that others feel differently but I get really annoyed when people say that vi...

Finally got round to watching the new Baki anime. It's opining arc is The Most Evil Death Row Convicts Arc (I'd read the manga version years go but had forgotten most of the details) and it's kind of what I was hoping this arc would be. https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/baki/images/c/c0/The_prison...

Re: Zamasu is my least favourite DB villain. Here is an explanation why.

It's not thats he over powered per say, at least not till he becomes infinite, it's more that while he's actually very smart. He beats all the gods not by being stronger, but by exploiting a weakness that exists to keep the GoD in line, He's effectively uses both time travel and the super dragon bal...

Yikes. :?
Better dose not equal good.

But for a manga flaws, I prefer the anime for the most part, Rage and the genki sword are just pushing to far in my opinion.

All I'll say on the subject of Zen-Oh and the Grand Priest is that they never gave me the same vibe the GoD and their Angel's do. They feel like a blend of student/master, servant/lord and work colleges.

The Grand Priest feels more like a baby sitter at time.

Re: How Useful Is Superhuman Durability In DB?

I mean, really? Goku goes from matching universe-sized quakes to being nearly killed from a ring laser to the chest? How is it that a stupid, extremely common sci-fi weapon could bring a Godly Saiyan to his feet??? Does durability in DB work necessarily the same for everything or is it actually rat...
